Yeap, only a Gaga project could have managed to win that category that usually secure the win in AOTY only to loss it at the end and in a very weak year :skull:

She's never going to win any general field.

And let's face it, the fact she has 13 still remains impressive for a divisive artist like her, all wins in very competitive categories with high competition, in general artists like her tend to have nothing or very few (see Cher, Madonna, Bjork, ecc.)

Nah you can never say never with Gaga, i think sooner or later it's gonna happen.

This is another argument that proves my point actually, despite those hit-acclaimed albums Madonna never managed to win AOTY, for ROL or Confessions she definitely deserves.

Artists like Madonna, Cher or Gaga are too divisive for the Grammys to win in big categories no matter how much successful or acclaimed their projects are, they will always go for the safe choice or the one that is convenient to pretend they award quality like this year with Batiste or Beck back in the day.

True, but let's be honest Gaga has always been a lot more liked by Grammy Awards than Madonna has ever been. Not saying it'll be easy but I think she has chances (at least for ROTY). Depends on the material she'll release in the future. She definitely needs a strong produced and worked project for this. Wait and see what future holds I guess...

When it comes to Grammys, I gave up tbh, they ****** up so many times and I'm sure she has been pissed when ASIB was snubbed, that year she didn't even bother to thank them for her two wins, with ROM she stayed silet as well.

The fact they couldn't give 'Shallow' a ROTY+SOTY, enough said.

This year she went because she had to go for Tony in first since it was his last album, he couldn't go and she needed to be there and performs also for him.

If she couldn't win a general field for the mega smash 'Shallow' that has multiple fields appeal, there's nothing that can make her win, not even the Tony last album Alzheimer narrative in a very weak year.

Grammys have done her so dirty. She already has a career's worth of grammy's so i'd say just ignore them and keep quietly racking up wins in visual media / score / traditional pop grammys

Yeah, looking at it now Shallow losing soty+roty was one of the biggest lolwtf moments ever in the general field. Can't even remember what was the winner ngl, bet it's forgagaten by now while Shallow is one of the biggest classics ever, so you know... win some, lose some

Shallow lost simply because it wasn't a SMASH yet when voting happened. It lost to This Is America which was bigger at that point and caused some conversation during the year but its mega forgotten now indeed. It would have easily snatched if Grammys happened after it smashed in the US.

The fact that Always Remember US This Way managed to get a SOTY nom the following year still sends me.

Um, Shallow was purposefully nominated in that cycle BECAUSE Interscope wanted it so. Shallow was released during the last week of the eligibility cycle, the new Grammy rule that began that year allowed songs released towards the very end of the eligibility cycle to skip that year and then simply be nominated in the next cycle together with their album.

I agree the song would've likely won a GF category a year later, but honestly that whole campaign was so iconic that I'm glad it happened the way it did.

Show at Fenway last night was phenomenal. Huge crowds and Gaga was amazing. Fenway was a shitty venue to do the show at, and I hope she does a football stadium next time she comes to the area.

Gaga will receive an honorary GRAMMY for AOTY, ROTY, SOTY or whatever bullsh*t they came up with in the future :skull: Bookmark me.

I'm switching on both Pink Venom song and video and I'm hyperventilating and fuming about SC yet again.... in 2022, still to this day

I definitely want Gar to win a GF Grammy in her career but it’s not the most important thing. I think BA Oscar, an Emmy, a Tony, and even a $1B grossing movie are more important accolades for her to achieve before a GF Scammy

Oh absolutely! I actually loved the entire campaign. Zero complaints (outside of not milking ARUTW). Really couldnt care less about it losing ROTY/SOTY when it ended up becoming a huge smash and cultural reset. :WAP:

I doubt it's for Chromatica Ball, Tom Eerebout is not involved in fashion and design from this tour. Nicola is in charge for this project

Both Tom and Sandra are involved along with Nicola.

Gaga’s Chromatica Ball tour fashion is the brainchild of her three go-to stylists: Nicola Formichetti, Tom Eerebout, and Sandra Amador.

All of them haven't released music so far. It was first leona, and then rihanna, carrie, and followed by mamamoo and gaga :deadbanana4:

Will the Grammys even be relevant in the next 10-20 years? Pretty much every other music award show has flopped into oblivion. It’s not their fault, the music industry is a massive dumpster fire

Film/acting award shows are much more prestigious and are willing to nominate acts that are critically acclaimed instead of commercially successful. There are also more populous acting award shows that honor blockbuster hits. But actors that win at those shows rarely get nominated at the more prestigious shows like the Oscars
Music awards all nominate the same people across shows. The people nominated at the VMAs are most likely the people that will be nominated in the general categories at the Grammys. They are slowly becoming the same show

So to end my thesis. It is good that Gaga has a handful of Grammys because they still hold some weight culturally, but it is not the end of the world if she never wins a general award. We need our girl to win more prestigious acting awards.
An acting academy award is 100 times more impressive than winning SOTY, ROTY or AOTY

Honestly, why do we have so little Chroma Ball professional photos? Also, her IG should be full of those. Why isn’t she posting “thank you NJ x” with a badass photo of her at her sold out show? :rip: she hates smashing
