Yup, the studio version of Alice is far superior to the live performance and is def one of her best house influenced songs ever.

Alice's performance suffers from Gaga just standing there, doing nothing (and no dancers either AFAIK).

Yeah, they’re def divided to two groups at least. One of them has Richy, Gaga, Ian and new dancers (since they’re literally praising Richy very often), the other group obviously is those couple of dancers that spoke out against Richy.

I just read your posts now and I agree you guys are right. I apologize if my comment came out as insensitive or tone deaf. If I may be honest, I think the reason why I got defensive earlier is because I do genuinely love her since she’s been a vital part of my life since I was 15 years old in 2008. Im not a cupcake stan by any means, I’ve criticize Gaga before but I think this time I went too far with my stan goggles and to be honest it may have to do with me attending the chromatica ball last week and having a very sentimental moment so naturally I felt protective of her even though she needs to address this ASAP. I still think some people are jumping the gun too quickly. She may drop him after the chromatica ball. I’m just concerned that even Richy exits the Haus, fans will still drag Gaga for still being his friend. I can see her dropping him after TCB but I can’t imagine her dropping him as a friend. It’s a very sensitive topic all around. It’s disappointing but I’d like to believe she is handling this behind the scenes and we just don’t know it yet.

I disagree. The performance itself is vital to the show, and no lyrics other than Alice fit the chemical depression/psychiatric idea behind that act. I think the reason why some may think it doesn’t hit as hard is because the song itself is a banger and a half. But ultimately Alice is one of the most Gaga performance ever.

That’s my thought process.  Gaga is obviously proud of the work he has done and is still friends with him.  She wasn’t there to witness the abuse, but she doesn’t want to ignore the claims by her former dancers either.  She’s stuck in the middle, and I think Richy would understand if they parted ways after the tour ends due to the bad reputation he has amassed.  She’s also getting older, and the need for a dedicated on-call choreographer is probably not in play as she focuses more on acting and more spaced out music releases.   
 

The only way I can really judge her in this instance is if she invites him back for future projects.  If that’s the case, then she’s at fault too.

Although I did see an IndieWire article discussing potential BP nominees recently where Anne Thompson (lol) said HMH could be one of the wins for the film

I'm honestly not expecting a ton. There will definitely be a huge campaign for TG:M in general and they will probably try and pull some strings bts, but part of me wouldn't be shocked if we only got an Oscars performance. Grammys/Globes/Late Night could happen but I'd be shocked if she went super out of her way for it.

J:FAD will start filming from December, I doubt we will be getting anything more than few tweets thanking award circuit if HMH get wins/losses. She will just show up for Oscars night, and maybe critic choice awards.

 

SAG and BAFTA don't have BOS category, and I hope she pays Grammys and Golden Globes dust. 

She shouldn't do any kind of campaign for HMH which is exactly what I expect regardless of the fact she will busy with filming FAD.

It made sense for her the first time with Diane, since it was still the first time that she was introduced in that enviroment and was her first nomination, then for ASIB it was already about the best actress nod and then HOG, but at this point of her profile status she really doesn't need to campaign for an award that she already has for a field for which she doesn't have nothing to prove.

 

Plus after this year, **** campaignes tbh, time wasted, she did a whole campaign for nothing just to be dragged by dumb people, if they want to reward her they will do it regardless.

She should just attend if nominated if she's free like the Globes and then performing at the Oscar which I hope she will do the same performance of the tour.

Yeah I'm not expecting much either on her part, she'll prob be pretty casual about it and maybe let Bloodpop do the dirty work of campaigning  she definitely seemed super passionate about it when she posted all those tweets though so who knows. Globes are out of question, they're trash now. Grammys if we're lucky and she's nom'ed in one of the big categories bc she definitely ain't attending for just a visual media nom. Late night miss thing won't go unless she has a win she wants to rub in everyone's faces about.

I'm 80% sure the song will be nominated because the branch usually strategically picks a couple of songs from the list so the "big name" performs at the show. However, I'm also 100% sure this song is NOT winning. The song is nothing special, not to mention the fact that Maverick is likely winning some other tech categories.  Besides, 2nd Oscars in the same field are generally not just given by the academy just like that. 

 

I agree however that I do NOT want her to do any kind of promo for this, let it be. And in my opinion, it'd be better if she didn't get nominated.
