I’m sure she’s disappointed with his actions but let’s be real, she loves him too much, they met on the set of the Just Dance video, traveled the world and smoked pot together with Tara and Freddy in 2012, a lot of people don’t know this but Richy (along with Tara, Freddy and Bobby) were the very few people close to her to have visited her during her hip injury recovery. Tara would help with her wheelchair and richy used to bring her food and massage her. Cynthia considers richy “like a son” which indicates he is close with the family especially since people have seen Richy at Joanne’s laughing it up with her dad. It must be tough and I think it’s clear she can’t just “I love” someone she loves so much. I think some of us forget how close richy and Gaga are. Richy was also at Sarah’s wedding with them in Costa Rica.

It’s not that easy to dismiss. Richy is a trash person but can we not egg on Gaga for his actions? It’s hard to unlove someone you’ve been best friends with for 15 years. I’m not excusing her but she is human and sometimes we have a difficult time separating ourselves from the people we love no matter how toxic they can be.

That same year she met and became friends with the dancer he sexually abused. The only difference is that said dancer isn’t a Trump supporter that kicks it with her dad

Properly because they're very close friends since the beginning he might gave to her a valid explanation that made sense for her

You do have a point, but if my friend assaulted people who WORK for me, I'd definitely not want that person around me and people who work for me. This wasnt just one slip, dancers from the beginning of her career up until new ones all said the same. It was years of mental and sexual abuse. Sorry, shes in the wrong if she keeps him after the tour.

I've never felt more disgust towards her than I have over the past couple of months because of this Richie situation. A big part of why I've always loved her has been because even when she makes mistakes, she always ends up doing the right thing. She has proven over and over that she does have a good foundation under her feet and she is a good person, but she is being blinded by what's happening with Richie and there's no excuse for it. This excuse doesn't pass muster. If you are someone who truly believes in kindness AND believing victims of abuse, you do not shield yourself from accusations against a friend just because you love them. The dancers that were abused and pushed out were with Gaga just as long as Richie was so giving him a pass while throwing the other dancers under the bus is disgusting and makes no sense. I get that it's difficult, but it's the right thing to do.

 

I also understand that not everyone puts the same focus and importance on her advocacy and being a good person as I do, but it's pretty devastating to see your fave contradict themselves when it comes to something that is so personally important to you. Myself along with several of my friends are SA and abuse survivors who gravitated towards Gaga because of the "safe space" she created for people like her. This is a slap in the face.

We only have Michael Silas’ word on it and there was no investigation that would end up with charges being pushed against Richy. Silas came out with the sa allegations years ago, around late 2017.
 

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t believe him, it’s just that nothing ever came out of it.

Judging by the fact that they’re interacting all the time, her tagging him in her IG posts, liking his posts, him showing up on stage all smiles and finally still posting about the tour and dancers, I’m fairly sure he’s not going anywhere.
