I don't know why it's so hard for ya'll to understand that songs from non-music related films are statistically unlikely to win BOS. The Bond songs are a very specific outlier. But songs from music related films like ASIB or BoRap(No original songs there but you get the point, Live Action Musicals like La La Land or Hairspray, or Animated Musicals from whatever Pixar/Disney send to the screens in November/December are ALL favorites from the get-go over end credit songs and songs from non-music related films. This is not difficult.

You are ignoring the fact that a Top Gun song has won in this category before. There is a precedence set that Top Gun songs win in this category (even if it only has a happened once so far )

I’m truly confused as to why the Arnhem date isnt selling out faster. Gaga was always beloved here but her reputation went UP after ASIB to the point even my moms friends (who arent her primary target group) fully recognize and respect her.

thats b/c the other usual nominees are from no-curr movies or blockbusters that aren't tied to musical roots, TG already has a history not only w the original theme, but its score as well, which helps in the case. at the end of the day all voters will see on the ballot is the film & song title, and w TMBA being an outlier to the TG franchise, it'd likely be a rolling effect like how Skyfall was to that atrocious Sam Smith bond song. unless another LIG/Shallow/Bruno, emerges late season, HMH can/will win
