I think if they extended the last scene ppl would have appreciated HMH more. The bridge is really it's best part so it's a shame it was not featured in the movie.

Yeah, I agree. Got almost teary eyed when I heard those melodies in the background. Gar did a great job at the music score. Hope she wins an Oscar for that.

ARTPOP is a masterpiece of the album and the girls will just have to deal with that

The ARTPOP cover perfectly captures the messiness and all over the place-ness of the album.

However, Joanne and its cell phone torch lighting take the cake as her weakest album cover.

but where is artpop cover sculpture now? and that sculpture that was on stage at brit awards 2010? i always wonder what happens to those props

It's not just her head on a motorcycle, you can see her neck and parts of her torso (the pointy boobs from the Mugler dress), and her arms fusing into the steel pipes thingie. Like a modern day centaur but instead of half-horse, she's half-motorcycle.

All in all I'm glad she's getting her flowers a decade later and the culture is finally catching up to her greatness. It's what she deserves for blessing the world with this masterpiece.

I think the photo of her leaning would have been a much better choice for the cover.

She's literally depicted as a human/motorcycle hybrid under the words 'BORN THIS WAY'. Surely you can decipher the irony and therefore the meaning in relation to the album's themes?

I don't see how such a hybrid makes it obvious for the casual listener to decipher the meaning of the album's themes. It's not that straightforward

I'm not sure what happened to the Koons sculpture but the one that was at BRIT was made by Nick Knight and the original design was 3D printed and put on exhibition in London recently.

To me it was always a very straightforward visual statement to the effect of "Even if you identify as a ******* motorcycle, own it and advocate for yourself because you were Born This Way". Or in other words, just "be yourself". Perfectly reflects what the album is about in a visually 'Gaga' way. 

 

Nothing about Born This Way is geared towards casual listeners to be fair, and that starts with the cover.
