Is it weird that Britney is showing zero motivation to end her hiatus and resume her career now that she's free? I know she's pregnant and she wants to repair her life and mental health first but still, being retired at 40 has to be exhausting and kind of terrible? After 13 years of being under the thumb of her dad and her team I thought she would be jumping at the chance to do things her way but she seems completely uninterested. I am wondering if we will ever get another album at this pace.

I recon she’ll drop an album in a year or 2 but won’t promote and tour.

It's just weird that she's been doing nothing for like 4 years now. Does she just lay around the house and go on vacations? I would go crazy.

I hope I don't tell bullshit now but I think that she renewed her contract after Britney Jean. People were sure that she rushed the trash bin that is Britney Jean to fulfill her contract and that she is finally free to go to a different label after it. Then she renewed it.

She has recorded music and a video already. She’s been working, she just has priorities first.

She couldn't even drive her car or travel to the places she really wanted up until last year, she's making up for lost time. There has been a lot of changes in her life and a lot going on. I'm sure she'll record and release something eventually

to be fair she probably didn't have much say in the decision at the time... i think any major label is only going to see her as a legacy artist at this point. it would be really interesting to see what her output would look like if she went independent with a great team around her.

Remember how we felt this time last year after 1 year of living under restrictions due to the pandemic? Not to compare it to what Britney underwent but she had it 1000x worse when it came to restrictions and that went on for 13-years. I honestly would not want to record music for a while if I was her because that’s what they made her do like a slave. I am all for her taking a break and coming back in 2024 or later after she really feels she wants to be back.

I mean when you've been working since you were a kid I can't blame her. I'm sure she has hobbies she's doing around the house that keeps her attention span.
