I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

what's yall's predictions for first day streams?

40M-60M

Have y’all discussed the release strategy? I’m not understanding releasing BMS with zero promo, we got no video and we pretty much waited 6 weeks for the album. It all worked out but I’m sincerely confused.

album standout thingz!!

Seriously, Bey is trifling for making it so good that you dont wanna skip a song. I tried too, but it doesnt work so I go through them all everytime for the full bop.

HOWEVER, when I do jump back out of complete desperation, its to AlieGOD Superbnova.

All Night, Dont Hurt Yourself, Love Drought, Freedom are all big vocal moments. Not to mention she produced every song so that the vocals match the emotion she was conveying. That’s how you do vocals!! There was a purpose.

I felt like Lem's vocals were severely lacking in variety compared to Ren. She also appeared to be holding back a lot, which does make sense in the context of the album, but at the end of the day the vocals simply pale in comparison to her other efforts.

You aren’t the only one. I’ve been saying this for the last two day to no avail. The strategy makes zero sense. If they were going to hold everything then they might as well not have made BMS a single. Also it seems like they won’t push a second single either, so another wasted opportunity for longevity.

I love the films she does but I also love certain songs and video being highlighted.

I feel like it’s harder to show restraint than belting or doing runs. She used her vocals very intelligently.

Yall don't understand how much i love this new album

All of the tracks literally following kpop song structure ... 14142 hooks, random bridge and complex song structure :jonny5:

i wish she dropped mv along with it

I’m used to her sabotaging or straight up ignoring opportunity for single success but Cuff It deserves a traditional release with radio and music video premiere. But I know she will give a visual for all the songs at some point

After listening in my car for the first time, HEATED is officially my favorite :jonny: the way it was barely in my top ten before then..

Beyoncé is an album artist. Even though she released BMS 6 weeks prior to the album date, I feel like it was just to give us some incite on what to expect. Nothing more.

I could see her getting dragged for the braggadocious radio lyric had she not released BMS :priceless:

The amount of time I have spent scrolling through tweets is embarrassing. But this album just works with everything

07/29/22 1:39 update:

- First of all, move out the way (Grace Jones voice) if you refer to this as a "house/disco album". This is a journey through the history of dance music. Miss Honey gave us funk, disco, house, techno, dancehall, hyperpop etc. without skipping a beat

- Thique outro is THEE OUTRO of the album, the way it takes you to luxurious places :jonny5: The others wish

- Is this the Beyoncé album with most runs ever? She is INSANE for those moments, nobody is doing it like her. I kinda expected those big belting moments over house beats, but duh... this is Beyoncé, never expect the obvious. I love love love all of her crazy runs

- Cuff It, Church Girl and POTS hit by the third or fourth listen, a filler-free album yes indeed :alexz: The last two remain bottom tier tho

- I ADORE dance music and love many iconic dance albums by the "pop girls", but, really, Renaissance is on a league of its own. It's just so Beyoncé (with all of her idiosyncrasies), so damn FREE. Nobody else could've done this album. And it's also nice as a fan to see Bey just getting loose

- Top 5: :alexz:

1 VIRGO'S HYMN

2 PURE HONEY

3 COZY

4 ALIEN SUPERSTAR

5 THIQUE

Bubbling under: MOVE, HEATED

This just elevated America Has A Problem

ALIEN SUPERSTAR saddles the line between experimental, unconventional and catchy perfectly. It could easily take off as a single.

SUMMER RENAISSANCE and COZY are the other 2 which could easily slay as singles.

BMS still needs her time to shine though. The album release has definitely breathed new life into it.

Somebody needs to do this with the Winx Club :ahh:
