I love how some of the sounds of The Gift trickled into this album.

Agh, I'm so glad I'm the only one who's been hearing The Gift influence throughout Renaissance. That's one of the reasons why I really like this album, since I do hear the essence of The Gift on a few tracks.

Do we have any ChartExpert Hives and what are your prediction? I'm gonna lower mine for 850K to 700K though  I've seen Hive on Twitter bought like 20 copies  and few vinyls too, y'all crazy and supportive af.

I highkey think it shouldve been solo. Bey completely devoured the others who didn’t even bring their A game. The song remain excellent tho with one of the best instrumental on the album

You and I both. I never understood why it wasn't seen as digestible, as it was quite an energetic album. Luckily, it was still critically praised despite the reaction by the GP.

They didn't, they hated the project. The Gift is a predecessor this RENAISSANCE and is certainly the first major in this dive into Bey interpolating so many sounds and trying these transitions. It's honestly some of her best work and I feel sorry for fans who missed out on it.

 

A lot of solo Beyonce songs are on The Gift, trust me you want to hear Otherside and Find Your Way Back before you die.

I'm gonna be conservative and stick to my prediction of <400k. The performance on streaming services (YT, AM) is looking great so far but at the end of the day it all hinges on Spotify and how much fans show out with the physicals over the week.

I’ma bit shocked that Heated and Thique aren’t higher on AM yet. I can tell the charts are reflecting the tracklist order but I feel like those are going to pull forward this week.

They all deserve though. Like I’m picturing my parents hearing the sample kick in for AHAP and them being transported right back to the 80s. It’s a hit.
