But like, yay we’ll have a new album however  if she leaves again then the era will be over. :jonnycat:

I truly believe part of the reason lemonade and self titled didn’t win AOTY is because their eras didn’t last long.

Wouldn’t she already be in Germany for rehearsals? :giraffe:

I'm sure she's been there rehearsing already. Why would she be in Oregon the day before her concert?

They probably store in Oregon because of cost, and commute

She could rehearse here, easily.

It's so insane that these albums were delivered one year apart.

She was doing it all. :jonny5:

I wonder if Jay-Z had some contractual obligations with Puma or Roc Nation Sports? This weekend in Eugene, Oregon is the World Track & Field Championships.

Duesseldorf is home to the international/national/regional HQs of L'Oreal Germany, Peek & Cloppenburg (A department store chain), Espirit, and multiple banks like HSBC and Santander. Maybe they're looking for backing, a cardholder sweepstakes, or promotional ticket sponsorship for a future European tour?

I’ve just been on Reddit for the past 3 hours reading threads about narcissists and schizophrenics as my ex was an admitted schizophrenic but I’m now also starting to believe he was a narc.

I mean, I should be relieved I dodged that bullet and yet I’m still so incredibly down about it all. I didn’t care that he was a schizophrenic narcissist with pure OCD, he was my schizophrenic narcissist with pure OCD. And now he’ll be someone else’s.

It hurts.

Anyway, he finally messaged me back but I didn’t reply. I feel empowered.

I suspect Beyonce's lead single was a warm up and a potential Tik-Tok hit to Bey's team. Her second single might serve.

Let's wait and see.

Also, does anyone actually truly believe that Bey is travelling all the way to Düsseldorf to perform at Gaga’s opening show? :skull:

And what happened to these pop up shows in the UK and this UK-centred promo that she was supposed to be doing? Less than 2 weeks until the album and there has been nothing.

I’d drag Yvette but she’s been dragged enough at this point.

I think Bey and her team are in a bubble, I don’t think they really understand fans frustrations.

A lot of artists and their teams are in a bubble (for better or worse), which is why all the complaints about a lack of video essentially is like howling at the wind. It goes nowhere.

The video is gonna come when it comes. Be it on-time (i.e. always scheduled to drop this "late") or even if it was delayed.

If we were talking a specific promo move or format for the album (like demanding CDs), I can see how the complaints could influence their strategy.

But a video that requires commissioning, a top tier director, a presumably big shoot, editing, approvals, and an agreed-upon roll-out? Nah. No amount of stan moaning would have an impact on one of those processes. It's quite literally "above" us.

All of which is why I'm 100% certain that the lack of video at this point is for a very specific and intentional reason. Now, agreeing or disagreeing with that reason is fine. But the mass intimation here that it's some kind of "incompetence" or "ball drop" is what I continue to find so baffling.

Most likely (IMO), it's coming just before or alongside the album as the standalone video from the "Renaissance Film" (essentially like Formation arriving alongside Lemonade). I'll keep saying it too: there is a clear SPS benefit to this as well for those first week album sales. Album sales (along with touring) being Beyonce's ever and always end game ($$$$$$).

At worse, something wasn't quite right and there have been reshoots (which we'd all appreciate in the end). Or they were locked and loaded with a different single and then went with BMS (something I'm sure we already appreciate given the amazing response to the song).

Whatever the case, none of the scenarios read as tragic, doom, gloom, and depressive in the way that is populating every single page of this Base :ace:

I can't believe we're under two weeks away :deadbanana2: There are huge billboards going up of the album cover so I have faith the rollout is about to really start

The most logical post in this thread since the single release.

There has yet to be a reasonable argument as to why this “ strategic” or “intentional” withholding of the video will make a difference that it wouldn’t have done on day 1 of release. If they changed the single at the last minute that is a bit of incompetence.

Not necessarily. Crazy In Love was done the night before the album was due. The original first single was gonna be Naughty Girl.

With the album drop, radio, and video - it looks like Break My Soul will be #1 on album release week - which ultimately is what we all want.

Fans better stream the hell out of it album week and not ignore it for the newer songs
