i remember when this movie came out and it was a big deal that she was rapping in it. that was years before she started rapping in her songs. she always had an end goal and i love that

The way that Beyonce has become synonymous with country is just incredible. 

The amount of ppl with an unfortunate everlasting hard on because this woman made an album, loosely intertwining Country and went out of her way to say it's only her interpretation of the damn genre, is incredibly unsettling and tiring. It's like once a month, some irrelevant 'country' artist, who are also just intertwining Pop and Rap in said genre, must give their opinion on CC, as if they ever had a chance whether Bey was doing a country album or not. Then there's the plain racist public figures, fans and general public who only have an issue with the album because Beyoncé is black. Literally, for a mass majority of ppl, that's the gist of it. 
 

I enjoyed a detailed discussion from the wavering point of view, if actual points can be made, I've even stated some of my small gripes with the album, but most ppl who dislike the album simply don't like her, don't like her being a black woman at the top of her game or don't display a great deal of blatant hate and discomfort. There are no other albums released last year that still need to be defended or defined to this magnitude. I could see if the music was actually bad, but CC holds some of her most stellar recordings to date. 
 

I'm over the discourse that 'Bey released a country album', because the underlying hate is the exact reason she chose to record the album. Every time someone feels needs to give their opinion on why a musicsl artist shouldn't explore a genre that was originally rooted in African American history, but stolen,  repackaged and dominated to shut out the generations after the originators, it gives 'keep that black woman in her place!'
