It's performing really good on Shazam, so a lot of people are still discovering the song. But if by next week the streaming numbers start stagnating, you might be right that the gp was only here for the TikTok mashup.

it's unfortunate that the mashup that went viral is a completely different vibe compared to the original.. i understand why people are so thrown off. What's funny is there's no way she could even drop a remix that is similar to that vibe cause she would have to make a completely different song. It's not like when the cuff it r&b mashup went viral (which still kept the essence of the song and just changed the tempo/genre, and she probably liked it that's why she eventually released that version). In this case that mashup sounds a mess after the first 30 seconds anyways. So i guess either the other parts of the song go viral or it will probably just reach 900k then go down. Either way i think we will see an increase in playlisting starting this friday (not the big playlists but something smaller). But for them to actually start pushing it needs to re-enter the global charts on its own i fear

That is why both camps piss me off. It is neither a sad song to cry to and reminisce over your heartbreak, neither is it a song just about riding dick. It is an incredibly complex song and mood, and it is a part of what makes it one of her best songs ever.
