no. Cuff It had a dance + a much more Top 40 friendly sound.

 

Tyrant needs a push to be as big. a dope remix, a visual, performance video, something. the fanmade mashup can do only so much.

Absolutely no way, sadly. I don't even see it reaching 1 million daily streams on Spotify. We are at its peak rn, I think.

She wants to make this a thing: Limited Theater release only - you want to see the footage, secure ur tickets. 

+ she obviously wants to create an environment where wanting to see her perform means paying up.

 

Maybe one day we'll get a Box or so lol

Tyrant is just one of many cult classics that she has to keep the momentum going. Hit singles are one thing, but she's so past that. People stream her discography beyond the hits and that should be the ultimate goal as an artist with everlasting longevity. Especially when your own two tracks from two different eras are being mashed up. The only reason Tyrant should be pushed as a single is for the fans to have bragging rights, but I really don't see it being a long lasting hit tbh (unless it was released last summer when it made more sense). The GP are only emotionally reacting to it the way they would any other ballad (and it's not a ballad)… All Night is the vibe people are looking for and I'm happy to see it direct them to both CC and Lemonade. This mashup is a win win for her, organically so. No payola or Spotify playlisting excuses included. 

 

I wouldn't mind if rhythmic radio picked it up the way they did with the SOTS remix tho. It was never a single, but I remember Hot 97 playing that a lot in 2014/15. Neither country or pop radio is going to allow Tyrant to happen, I fear.
