You can at least admit that CUFF IT was musically great but from performance and choreo perspective it was underwhelming

CUFF IT was one of the highlights of the show. Her energy was always so high and the vocal is so good that she doesn't need to be giving choreo all the time. She is so captivating.

another thing to put into proper context...the injury actually occurred during the I Am Tour rehearsals...not RWT. Her knee was in RECOVERY during RWT...not injury. She'd actually been dancing on a bum knee for 13 years before the wear & tear got too dangerous to go forward with.

I don't have a problem with what Fatima said nor Beyonce agreeing with it. Beyonce realizing that all she needed was her voice was a breath of fresh air in the film. Prince and Michael Jackson relied on painkillers for decades which contributed to their early deaths. Fatima has observed this type of stuff up close and is protective. There's no 8 count thats worth it. Beyonce is not Ciara, J. Lo, or Janet Jackson...she absolutely does not need to have heavy choregraphy to carry her and THAT'S the magic of Beyonce and always has been.

No, the Beyonce experience and I am world tour were also heavy on the choreo and so were plenty of her live performances long before formation.

While it's true that Beyoncé's knee injury was in recovery during RWT, minimizing the impact of an old injury that lingered for over a decade downplays how much it could still affect her performances. Long-term wear and tear doesn't just go away because someone is "recovering" it still requires careful management. Also, while Beyoncé is an incredible vocalist, her ability to merge singing with high-level choreography has always been part of her magic. Saying she "doesn't need heavy choreography" feels like a bit of a stretch she built her reputation on being an all-around performer. Even if she doesn't need it, it's a huge part of what makes her live shows legendary.

Now if you are trying to say she is pivoting to being more vocal centric due to her getting older then that would make more sense.

im actually shocked you f words are in here complaining about her giving studio quality vocals charisma and cute choreo in fab hair and makeup. She tore this every time omg like break my soul is arguably the highlight of the entire ******* show. Her energy during that song!! :jonny:

Im being downvoted like crazy for saying that if you can't afford her damn parfume, dont buy it. One would think I've written we should all open a Mr Petty Fanclub or give donations to P Diddy. :jonny6:

Omg, same, but with tickets.  TBH, I haven't even looked at how many downvoted me, but it's a lot per my notifications lol

EDIT:

93 downvotes for the post saying her tour isn't like electricity or food, that it isn't a necessity, and don't go if you broke :lmao:

i just rewatched TBE & IAWT recently...they absolutely were NOT heavy on choreography. IAWT in particular is her most ballad heavy tour. There was choreography, yes, but the big dance numbers were just a few songs & vocals weren't being minimized. Nothing like in the sense that FWT and Beychella were.

the rest of the stuff...I'm not disagreeing with. I already said I agreed with Beyonce & Fatima's sentiment and that her performer abilities is about both. The Beyonce Experience showcases the standard of Beyonce...high octane vocals & manageable choreography with "Ring the Alarm" & "Get Me Bodied" being the most physical.

I don't think you're wrong.:deadbanana4: I know it's controversial nowadays but if you don't got it then don't get it. Not everything is for everybody!!! Like I'm reading the perfume thread and I'm not understanding why it feels to them like Beyoncé is obligating people to buy it. It's not a requirement you're just not the target audience. And that's ok!!!

I can't wait to be there opening night, it's going to be so fun going into it blind. like the way I dreamt about this for RWT and made it a reality for CCT...

There is definitely an expectation of Beyoncé to perform, vocally and choreography wise. What's the most replayed moment of Beyonce Bowl on YouTube? It's the Buckin' dance break.

Omg THIS.

Some of you are setting yourselves up for disappointment with the choreo talk, I swear. She won't be dancing for three hours straight, if anything we'll get a few Welcome to Renaissance/Motherboard/Opulence-like segments and that's it.

The Beybowl wasn't even a good indicator of what the tour would be like, since that was a one time only thing and she HAD to dance as hard as she could. But don't expect a Coachella/FWT 2.0, she won't risk her health again.

Agree to disagree on the first part of your post. TBE and IAWT absolutely had heavy choreography just because they weren't at Beychella or Formation World Tour levels doesn't mean they weren't demanding. Beyoncé was executing intricate choreography while serving live vocals, something most pop stars wouldn't even attempt. Get Me Bodied, Déjà Vu, Single Ladies, Crazy in Love all heavily choreographed and vocally demanding.  The fact that her 'standard' includes both elite-level vocals and dance proves why she's in a league of her own.

Everything else I agree with.

I think FWT and Beychella has warped ppl perception of how much choregraphy Beyonce was doing

i think a return to TBE, IAWT, and MCSWT standards is fine...a few major dance numbers without sacrificing VOCAL ABILITY is why Beyonce got the moniker of being the greatest performer. there's plenty of great dancers to go around...Beyonce's allure comes from her VOCAL ABILITY in combination with it.

unfortunately, FWT & Beychella did not highlight it as well and tipped the scales too far with all the dancing. part of the reason why i'm glad FWT dvd was not released. I expect CC tour to emphasize VOCAL ABILITY over dancing.

The Formation world tour had plenty of vocal moments as well. Besides the fact that she was singing (most of it) live with heavy choreo which is very impressive in itself, there were also moments of rest focused solely on her vocals, like Me Myself & I, Runnin, All Night, Love On Top, 1+1, The beautiful ones, the Halo encore... The RWT had more, but mostly because of the all ballad first section.

I wouldn't say the scale was tipped too far in the other direction.

This is as good of a vocal showcase as anything from the RWT.

There was no reason not to release this dvd. When all is said and done I firmly believe the FWT will remain as the peak of her performing prowess. She had perfected her vocal technique, her confidence and stage presence over the years and was at the height of her dancing abilities. It was the most refined version of what she had been doing prior to this tour. She wasn't getting any younger and would naturally would adapt her pace, especially after a second pregnancy with twins nonetheless. It's beautiful to witness her journey as a performer and what every stage of her career brings, but this was definitely the top of the mountain and it stings to not have it commemorated with a proper recording.

There was more than enough choreo at the RWT

She isn't a one trick pony

This is absolute propaganda, and more evidence of her being astroturfed.  You can easily look at the dates and see that isn't true.

Let them have those silly petty moments of twisted happiness, at the end the gross will be published. :dies:

I predict the Cowboy Carter Tour to have way more storytelling and more of a theatrical plot and I expect the fusion of CC and Lemonade to be REAL :jonny2:

There were far less vocal moments compared to the rest of her tours.

I don't necessarily agree with your post, TBE and MCSWT were her peaks in terms of vocals, and I do believe FWT was over-choreographed, just like Coachella. Songs like Daddy Lessons didn't need to be choreographed, I'm sorry.

There was no horn section, the live instruments were barely audible, the arrangements felt dry af. The were indeed a few duds here and there.
