Nobody is mad at people feeling differently. We're annoyed that we have to go through 10-20 pages a day people just complaining about the exact same things, over and over. That sucks the joy out of something and don't pretend otherwise.

 

I'm content with what we have so far - do I wish we had a video? 100%. But it's exhausting reading the same things over and over. That's all.

Maybe some of y’all would be happier if you stan for someone else. Someone that was a lil more vocal or let you knew what their plans are. There are tons of artist out there. 
 

Speaking of other artists, idk who posted Agnes in here, never heard of her before but I been playing her music like crazy since she was posted so thank you.

Respectfully but complaining about the complain is not going to make it better. We should all be able to judge and discuss situations when it's called for. In this case, almost two weeks of nothing is annoying to say the least. 

 

And let's be real, we're talking about the Hive. ATRL'ers. Complaining is inherent to our DNA.

This, exactly. I mean, there’s not much else going on and it’s not like anything said here will influence ANYTHING in the grand scheme of things. If people want to commend or vent their thoughts on the material relevant, is this not the platform to do it?

I’m sorry, but a Beyoncé era hasn’t officially began until we have a video of some sort. 

 

The fact we don’t have a video yet is very concerning tbh. The era already feels directionless and without substance.

Am I the only who is kinda scared for the critical reception to the album? Lemonade smashed hard, and critics are even easier nowadays (everyone and their mama gets +80 on MC now, compared to in 2016 when it was super rare), so anything below 93 is kinda gonna be embarrassing.

 

BMS didn't really receive a lot of acclaim from what I saw... so we on edge. 

 

Mix that with critics LOVING to humble someone after acclaiming their last album (see Lorde, Ariana, and to a degree Kendrick)... I fear a low 80s might be in the forecast for Renaissance!

I think BMS is kind of all over the place with the chorus where she does too many different runs and key changes. While the stan in me lives for the runs/inflections, it’s inconsistent in the chorus with the “break” and “everybody’s”. The arrangements took me a while to get and took me 10 listens of forcing myself to like its unconventional for a “pop” song. I think a bigger keychange should have been in the climax at the end. The chorus felt flat when the song became more uptempo. It def grew on me though but rn after playing it so many times I’m burnt out esp when there’s not rly a catchy melody, it’s more like a chanting anthem.
