I watched it in one, buts its definitely a step down from Lemonade. It has its moments (Don't Jealous Me/FYWB/My Power/The bridge of Otherside) and arguably more budget and more varied settings/costume design, but there's no interesting narrative, the story is so loosely told you really have to be in the mood to sit down and watch all those visuals. Lemonade had purpose in its story telling, BIK was like a university assignment trying to translate Simba's story into music videos.

But after BIK I was convinced she shouldn't do another visual album unless there is REAL acting. No one is here for 1hour of loosely connected MVs in 2022 unless they're a stan

The way I felt so stupid trying to explain this to people who were, like, "I don't really understand the point of this movie. Its literally just The Lion King." I tried to make it out to be avant garde. The way I embarrass myself for her.

 

Ive watched BIK at least 12 times. I need to rewatch it before Renaissance. A stunning masterpiece
