CC still receives around 2mio likes, so there are clearly people who enjoy it and the majority of voters felt like Beyonce deserved it this go around, some for the album, so for her career and the many snubs. Then you also have the phenomenon of split voting. It really is no rocket science, even if you personally might not think of the album as the best of the best

the way I never know whether Diplo is serious about things, especially since he does like every genre under the sun  If he is serious, he needs several seats by liking stuff like that

…she performed in her hometown on Christmas, it was intentional for a number of reasons, including the high probability that she's wouldn't get negative reactions. I think some of y'all are so uncomfortably nationalistic about her that nobody wants to bring up the fact that she really didn't get a lot of cheers either…her guests and Blue did. Nah, I think he's serious.  When he's confronted, he says nice things but he gets caught being shady. 

 

I feel so bad for her though, the people she works with treat her kinda bad.  Sometimes I wonder what she thinks about it, I mean Ashley liking those negative comments and stuff, and then coming back to dance with her, does Beyonce know, and not care?  Did we take things out of context?  I know how petty people act, and that's what they do, they do the subtle shade like that. 

 

The right said fred people being angry because they thought they'd get "more money" from her sample, but being excited about it prior...  Kelis acting a fool, the country folk being rude, Dolly not really standing up for her, Billie liking shady stuff after smiling in her face... Erykah Badu talking bad about her after she consistently praises her,  I mean it can go on forever.  Imagine what it's like behind the scenes.  No wonder she doesn't participate in that life anymore. 

 

Not to mention, her own fans treat her like **** often, and write negative things about her a lot.  I'm surprised she even does this at all...

He's probably angry at the fact that he's NEVER been able to be on a record with her when she's collabed with people like Kaytranada, AG Cook, ARCA, Frank, and many other genius collaborators.

True, he is very messy and shady.

It's especially annoying since she is always so graceful and approches things in a positive way, but all these people keep kicking down.

Kelis? Erykah Badu? Seriously those we don't care. 

I get what you mean but she has also SO many people who love her to death and stand by her and stand for her. Her mother, her sister, Kelly, Michelle, her cousin, those people never fail her and have never failed her once. 

 

Plenty of legends love/loved her : Prince, MJ, Tina, Aretha, Luther Vandross, Anita Baker (who is always supportive), even Aretha (and she was a big hater of everyone) and the list is LONG. Collaborators like Darkchild, Sean Garrett, The Dream are extremely loyal to her. 

 

And true, some fans can be shady and talk about her in a weird way but on the other side, a LOT of her fans have been fighting haters for her since 1997, some of us have loved her despite everyone around her hating on her and those ride or die fans (something we became famous for, the first stanbase to be known and have a name, that's why they called us the Hive because no matter what we defend the Queeen, and that she has shown gratitude for more than once) just helped her get a 570M€ tour and would show up for her again and again and along with her massive talent are a small reason she has such longevity because we are loyal as hell, even though we're complainers.  

 

What I want to say is this : you are absolutely right, there's hardships on her road and her life is probably not all rosy all the time and she faces betrayals but I am sure that she focuses on the positive sides and she has a LOT to be thankful for.

It was inevitable that reactions would be mixed, especially for an artist like her who challenges norms and forges her own path. Honestly, I expected the industry to be more supportive similar to how they rallied behind Leo DiCaprio when he finally won his Oscar but even I sometimes forget just how exceptional she is and others in the industry lowkey don't like that. Some people will always envy her. Plus, the current climate isn't exactly welcoming, but we'll find joy where we can.
