I don't think there's a planned and organized smear campaign lol. people are just dumb, gullible, media literacy is at a new low for our modern times, and of course there are all the stans who are bitter.

 

same thing goes for the whole "Thank You Beyoncé" and "She Knows" trends. some people are just trolling for attention and engagement, and some are just mentally deranged.

Not being combative, just reiterating you missed the point. Like I said before if that's what you want to think; do you. I don't need your input. 

Social media algorithms reward negativity, and these campaigns can snowball in ways that weren't possible back in the early 2000s. I'm glad her team isn't like head in the sand hive, and have taken legal action proving they see the damage it is doing and capable of. From the moment the  she knows narrative started circulating it was obvious Beyonce was being uniquely targeted in a way the other artists weren't. To me that's not organic, it's coordinated. This is a world where black women become easy targets and the scapegoat in media driven takedowns. And the direction the country is going, it's best to take heed.

There have been documented campaigns, including involving Russia 

And there is absolutely a smear campaign. A lot if them are Taylor bots or right wing bots

Absolutely there are some gullible people and racists but that doesn't mean there is no strategy behind the chaos. Smear campaigns definitely happen and in this case it's looking to shift public perception.

seems silly (no pun intended) to me. I'm not saying there are no tabloids/influencers who spread negative comments about Bey with malintent. I just do not believe there's a machine sponsoring and funding this effort. 

 

Bey has always had loud and annoying haters.

I do. These same haters have existed even while TikTok was at its peak, the same Illuminati/Aaliyah rumors were happening on TikTok for years and was always just a subset of the app and never taken serious. Suddenly it's "she knows" with millions of likes and conspiracies, followers being lost, etc and it was building up prior to the diddy arrest. It's very noteworthy when things balloon out of nowwhere and concentrated. And suddenly jaguar is on Piers Morgan.

I mean there's several right wing bot pages on Facebook actively spreading this false narrative as we speak:

I wouldn't label it an all out smear campaign though. Bey is just often used for disinformation campaigns bc she's guaranteed engagement. They flood social media with biased content that fuels the fanfics and conspiracy theories conservatives/underachievers have.

It's def astro-turfing. But what the media DOESN'T realize is that Beyonce is the first of her kind lmao. Like she's literally THE FIRST celebrity of her kind with literally little to no blemish. And even when they try to slap something on her it just never sticks and she never reacts. They hate it. Her biggest controversy was the elevator incident, and even then that was Jay's fault and it played in her favor cause after she released Lemonade. 
 

But yeah, I think partly what makes Beyoncé so polarizing is her ability to be completely out of touch with the hate lmaooo!!! The media doesn't even really understand it. 

 

 

All the last pages have been about hate and what people say... Please let's move on. 

I think both sides are correct. I've seen the bots and it does feel like a combo from bots and stupid people all together. I also agree that it currently feels gloomy with regards to the reception of Beyonce the artist. (#sheknows, Grammy debate, thankyoubeyonemce, etc)

However, I would like to point out two things:

 

1) Nobody will care about the Grammy in a week. Its always been that way. Outrage for a week or 2 and then people collectively move on. The Superbowl is coming for example which will definitely shift public focus.

 

2) The tour sales start next week + the tour starts in 2-3 months basically. Just based on past experience, this will result in a LOT of positive PR. Shes gonna sell out the dates super quick because there are only a few dates + her ability to create amazing tours will result in a multitude of viral shorts and clips of her slaying or the stadium singing her songs.

 

So conclusion: Itll be fine. We stan the most polarizing artist of our generation. Hate is unfortunately just as much part of Bey as is love. Ask Madonnsters, they can sing a song about it.

When you're at the forefront of what you do, you're going to receive hate. Beyonce is a proud Black woman who is not shy about sexual, about being outspoken, about being better than all your milquetoast faves that can't sing or dance. And people *hate* that. Trump, rolling back DEI, it's not a coincidence. It reminds them that they don't have all the power in spite of their systemic privilege. That's where all the "arrogant" accusations come from. People want to put her in her place. It's sad but it's the world we live in. She or her team should not acknowledge it because it will Barbra Streisand it and validate it. Just go on being the best and let them seethe.

yeah. I think there's a lot of individuals and outlets who have a hate boner for Beyoncé — precisely because she's a successful, talented, popular Black artist and she's playing in this field at a level where only whites are allowed to exist in this day and age.

 

I don't think there's any one source leading this "smear campaign" against her. it's all the usual suspects having a cumulative effect. it'll be forgotten by next week when "Diva" goes viral again. whatever.

Let's not make fave into a victim, the words "smear campaign" only rose lately thanks to Miss Plantation Princess trying to be a victim. If there is one thing Beyonce will ever do is submitt to the press. All her music is about moving forward.  
 

Beyoncé has always been polarizing, she's always had hate left and right. Right now hate is shown since she won the top prize and everyone has a voiced opinion, especially when half of the us voted for this orange turd. 
 

instagram followers, likes and so on are highly botted. It's less than a week, she's still making headlines. Much like DCs break up, elevator gate, Dreamgirls, parting from Matthew, Blues "surrogacy", "songwriters", "anti police" all this will go away. 
 

Let's focus on the upcoming tour. 
 

Also: It speaks impressively to Beys relevance that she's able to be on everybodys lips 30 years into her career. Thats a feat I've only ever seen Madonna have. So it basically speaks to how Beyonce is STILL that ***** at the end of the day

I really do look forward to the outfits people put together for the CC tour. I can't imagine people getting as creative or glammed up as the RWT, but the simplicity behind Cowboy styles can be so sexy. I can't wait to see the masculine styles in particular.
