My Rose originally being named after Sir and the lyrical content definitely feels like she tried to hint at what some of the fans have assumed about him and why he aint shown as much as the other two…but hey hope i'm wrong for their sake you know

Ou one thing about Sasha is that she is NOT afraid to give a stank face and not always concerned to look pretty all of the time. Renaissance was very much glitz n glam, but miss Cowboy Carter was gettin raw nasty right at the beginning of Ya Ya.

Because there is a sync problem. Maybe the live was lagging idk. The music sometimes didn't't match the movement of their lips, even for Post. Which tbh there is no way Post was lipping because he sure wasn't pitch perfect.

Ok so after going to bed, getting my expectations vs reality together, I can say it was a really good performance.

The intro is actually fine, I think what truly through me off during the livestream was the nonexisting transition between the ads and the performance. I feel like there shouldve been an official anouncement or sth in that vein.

I still think Jolene didnt work at all and dragged the energy down. I also agree with someone here that THE didnt work that well as the final song, tho that ending was superb.

The rest was good to excellent imho.

I really loved the performance. Watched it a bunch of times already which is funny cause she mostly went for songs I consider to be in the worse half of the album 

 

Ya Ya and Buckin were the highlights for me. I wanted to slap her for teasing Tyrant but not going for it in the end  Blue slayed as always, she could be a superstar just like her mother. Oh, and the camerawork? They did a fantastic job (for once) and you can tell it was very well rehearsed.

 

I have one problem though and I know yall gon drag me but... can she stop lipping?  It's ******* embarassing at this point and we know she can sing live so I don't get it...

I love her unbothered mind. What MPG is performing mostly deep cuts with a national audience like that? They don't have the backbone. She could have performed Halo in a dimmadome hat and they would have ate it up but instead you get Spaghetti.

As much as I don't like her Jolene cover, it was one of the best performing on release, and it definitely has some familiarity with people. 

 

I get bodyguard, I guess it didn't really fit the show tbh, but I can't forgive her for the AR snub

the only part of the performance that was not as good as the rest was Jolene. that could've been swapped for a cute II HANDS II HEAVEN moment or a cute Tyrant verse imo.

The performance was entirely live (sans the pre-recorded intro, which was not intended to be passed off as live anyway). Don't be dumb.

 

 

Even regarding the intro, it seems that the reason for the slight vocal mismatch on the Netflix stream was they were overlaying her live vocals from below the field over the precorded video? And it only switches out when the girls join for BLACKBIIRD? But I can't fully tell.

People failing to realize most of it was LIVE because she sounds amazing. 

 

You can tell it's been set in a way in which she has a lot of time between singing parts to catch her breath (she even stopped to drink) and some songs barely require her singing.
