CC we got:

- 1 remix

 

Maybe we didn't realise just how good we had it last era.  At this rate act iii will just be a half-finished album. Hell, that's kinda what CC was originally with its botched release.

I see a lot of yall say you still listen to Rennie constantly but honestly I'm not even listening to that much these days.  Maybe it'c bc I overplayed it so much over the last 2 years. I barely listened to anything else in that time.  Lately I've been enjoying her back catalog a lot more (mostly from TWOTW up to 4).

A 3-act project whose goal is to reclaim genres pioneered by Black artists could have been her most impressive artistic endeavour to date, but she completely botched it. I don't want to hear the think-pieces about how she's promoting her music as a "luxury" good because that's complete bullshit. A vision as ambitious as this needed to be promoted as such, especially in an era of the music industry that is extremely oversaturated. She's making arguably the best music of her life and no effort has been made to expand her reach to ensure people are actually tuning in to listen. 

 

She's cheating herself and, though there's a case to be made that she should not care at this stage in her career, she's ultimately cheating her fans. We're the ones who have been invested in her for years leading up to the launch of this project. She's given us nothing to get excited about, and the disrespect has actually gone further; her only form of communication with the Hive has been to shill uninspired, overpriced garbage.

A lot of people going to each concert are casual fans. Only 1 single WW from CC, some of the crowd will only know THE. Every album should have at least 3 singles WW imo. It really should've been THE, MW, Bodyguard, LJ. It would've been a great era. What is frustrating is, no visuals the last 2 eras, and if they aren't coming, she will continue act 3 without filming 1 or 2 videos, she has a chance to give the fans something, but will choose not to. She has time to film adverts, but no videos? 
 

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I hope she skips a tour this era (Can we even call it an era) and tours for act 3.

They get mad when people say this but it's true. Since Lemonade Beyoncé has lacked a TRUE musical era and recurrent streams don't lie.

In all seriousness, Beyonce will always be Beyonce, but I do believe something has shifted.  You could make the argument no one can stay on top of the zeitgeist forever, but I can't help feel as if so much of this could've been avoided with only a slightly different strategy.  As a lifelong fan, I'm feeling pretty disconnected from her; if a lot of us feel that way, it's no wonder the GP let CC freefall off the Billboard 200.  She really doesn't have one single album charting there right now?
