A disco ball (also known as a mirror ball or glitter ball) is a roughly spherical object that reflects light directed at it in many directions, producing a complex display. Its surface consists of hundreds or thousands of facets, nearly all of approximately the same shape and size, and each has a mirrored surface. Usually, it is mounted well above the heads of the people present, suspended from a device that causes it to rotatesteadily on a vertical axis, and illuminated by spotlights, so that stationary viewers experience beams of light flashing over them, and see myriad spots of light spinning around the walls of the room.

The first thing that comes up on google is a Taylor Swift song. People don't call disco balls mirrorballs

Thats all im gonna say to that

Haha agree

But this is legit. The mayor said he's trying. Too bad running his mouth might make things get sour but there is a chance.

Madonna's concert was historic. It was such an iconic moment. This would be a stage that Bey could feel challenged to do it specially after a legend like Madonna did it.

Bey did the Superbow the year after Madonna. Maybe now it's the time again

Jay must be going through something, so music stiff seems on hold outside of deals.

I'm of the same opinion.

I refuse to believe she's become so disinterested in how she handles her music & craft that there must be some external factors at play for what's been going on since 2022 pretty much.

This is such an interesting look for her. I absolutely love it. I wonder who styled it.

The first time she teased a Country album was at the Grammys, posting two poses of her next to each other on Instagram the next day. She's definitely doing it on purpose, but at the same time it's almost too obvious.

With the way shes torturing us, I feel its appropriate

what are your dream features (or predictions) for act iii?

i'd like to see Florence Welch, Janelle Monae, Bruno Mars, Brittany Howard and Cher

If we have to play delulu (for fun cuz there isn't much else to do).

- the three bey's in one pic does seem to be teasing act iii.

- the give you these blues it's in my genes caption can be seen as a hint.

Do you guys think act iii is closer than we think? She's not going on tour anytime soon (she told us already that she's balancing personal life and tours by limiting them to the summers), so we aren't getting a tour to serve as the extension for this era. Also, unless there's a big payday involved, she's not giving us any performances either.

I was reading up on "Blues" as a genre and there's a lot there that lines up with the "themes" of the acts.

Have we had any other major "hints"?

"blues, secular folk music created by African Americans in the early 20th century, originally in the South. The simple but expressive forms of the blues became by the 1960s one of the most important influences on the development of popular music—namely, jazz, rhythm and blues, rock, and country music—throughout the United States.

Bey is in talks to perform at Copacabana beach in 2025.

Several news outlets are reporting this here in Brazil and the mayor basically confirmed negotiations are happening. He was teasing it a few days ago leaving bees emojis and 👀👀 on an influencer insta post where she was asking to bring Beyoncé to Rio.

Remember the Madonna slayage? This would be such an iconic moment for her!

Dudu Paes is such a attention seeking queen, so I'm not buying it. His first choice was U2, which it's such a wild guest. But anyway, Beyoncé is unpredictable so who knows. If she happens to be actively touring around May of next year the chances will be a lot bigger.

It's giving new Hogwarts headmaster

Janelle, Bruno, Gary Clark Jr., Raye, Willow, The White Stripes and Lenny Kravitz. Going by the first two acts, we'll definitely get collaborations with an accomplished legend that represents the overall genre, a commercial successful, proven superstar with crossover appeal and overlooked innovators from the past and present. So it's basically gonna be another history lesson just like Renaissance and Cowboy Carter were and I can't wait for it.

Ill be blunt:

Blues screams BORING in 2024/25, especially coming after Cowboy Carter which already was very midtempo.

Bey has always done better when serving uptempo, energetic, sassy content. So I want that from my biased point of view.

Also after CC, which felt very cosplay, I'm a bit exhausted of another era of her cosplaying. Blues is not authentic to the artist that is Beyonce, regardless whether she finds a great aunt in the lineage of Knowles who had ties to the genre

Speaking of, that whole shtick of finding people in her family tree with some sort of ties to what she's currently doing is also getting REAL tired. It was cute for Uncle Johnny, but cmon now. Give me something better than "my great-great-aunt was best friends with Harriet Tubman, so I dedicate this Rock project to her, cause she rocked"

Hmmm. Your comment screams more frustration and less logic.

Why is CC any more cosplay than Renaissance?

Also, we know by now she's not limiting herself (at all) to the genre. It's always a mix of many styles, combining past, present and how she envisions an evolution of those genres. It has been true for both acts. Also, blues is closest to her and again its just the base. We have everything from rock n roll to rnb and jazz and more that builds upon Blues. The possibilities and creative boundries are endless.

The truth seems you just want an uptempo album like Renaissance but that isn't a realistic reality. CC has all tempos and is incredible. The cosplay feeling is a result of us not getting anything from her outside the album music. Otherwise what stops anyone from saying the same for disco, EDM, etc.

Anyway, I respect your frustrations but the cosplay allegations (when all songs on CC are beyonce-fied, much like Renaissance) doesn't feel real to me. And reading up on Blues, it's in line with the themes- American music invented/pioneered by African Americans, and has gone to evolve into many other now popular genres.

I'm personally really excited for rock n roll, rnb and more. The only one I'm not toooo keen on is jazz. But bey can change my mind. She can do trap on top of a jazz bass and make a bop. Who knows.

I am all for trolling her and having a laugh in here, but sometimes it seems like you straight up dislike her. Blues is a natural genre for her. I'd say its much more of a natural progression than country, in fact.

Also, the Harriet Tubman mention feels a bit left-field if I'm being honest.

Her serving **** is literally her stepping into her Sasha Fierce persona, a persona we've grown to love over the entire span of her career. Shes always been cool with the gays, and while the electronic aspect of the music was new, the essence felt correct.

With CC, she consciously played into stereotypes of Country but didnt execute what Country truly means - a laidback, non-glamorous style of music. Its literally called Country. What we shouldve gotten were some Jeans looks, some backyard session, some fun, down-to-earth moments. Idgaf about u having been to a Rodeo or 2 when u were 9 years old. Make me believe in this era. But she didn't.

If she approaches any new genre the same way, its gonna fall flat. Thats all.

And while I do love her uptempos the most, Bigger, 2 Hands 2 Heaven and Dance For You are some of my favs of her. Also, I really enjoy her voice on Blackbird and Otherside. Just saying
