Im not a hater at all, Bey is consistently by FAR the artist I listened most to every single year. I just don't vibe with her approach to her music career in 2023/2024. There's elements I still love (ambition, the quality, creaitivity, her shows, her undeniable talent), but then theres things that I simply dont vibe with (detached from reality, untruthful statements, big launches, nothing that manages to keep interest, sterile approach to selling content, no performances/visuals)

And she became that by mingling with Pop music and aesthetics and thus blurring the lines, just like Taylor did. She also still always made sure to appear approachable, give interviews, make jokes, etc.. nothing that Bey is doing

 

Dolly is kind of the same - she always appeared approachable, even made fun of herself for using wigs and always appeared like someone "of the people", tho wearing expensive clothes at times. Bey on the other hand tries her hardest to be seen as unapproachable as possible, which plays into her luxury brand approach, but not into what is needed to make a Country project work

Dont act obtuse: im not saying her doing Country is cosplay per se, but the way shes selling the product certainly makes it appear like cosplay.

If she does nothing with whatever act3 is other than launching an incomplete vinyl and no additional content other than the album itself + her playing dress up, then you are absolutely right that im not gonna be satisfied anytime soon.

I can assure you the woman who did everything in her power to not make edm songs, who avoids singing her pop and dance heavy tracks like the plague and probably isn't singing any ren song not named cuff it ever again isn't the dance-pop lover Renaissance would make you think she is. her favorite song on the album is literally the least dancey one and she certainly doesn't listen to a. g. cook and hyperpop on the regular either

If you ask Africans, a LOT of people thought of TG as cosplay, yes. If you can't be bothered to meet up with African producers or be see in public events then u do indeed seem very detached. And African music culture is a lot of things, but not detached like Bey presents herself constantly

Lemonade is such an amazing visual album.

 

If we ever get to watch the visuals it's gonna be weird to not see her using one single platinum blonde wig for Cowboy Carter. You can tell that look was decided this year. The only blonde wig in relation to the album before 2024 is the one for the Dolly red vinyl look. 

 

It's easy to see in the booklet the pictures that are taken from the visuals too from her hair alone: the looks from the visualizers, the one with the rhinestone blood, the one for II Hands II Heaven and the one with the green dress in the back of a bus(?.

 

I like that they included every try they did for the new cover too.

Beyoncé is allowed to experiment with whatever genre of music she likes and as much as we all hate it, she is at the point in her career where she can promote her albums as much or as little as she likes.

 

The people from Africa who thought she was cosplaying afrobeats (which makes zero sense bc you can't cosplay a music genre ) we're wrong just like you're wrong from saying she's cosplaying country. I'd take it further and say it's even worse that you're in this base perpetuating the same racist ideologies that made her feel unwelcome at the CMAs in 2016.
