you'd think she wants to flop on purpose :rip:

like how do you make an album that's too country for your core demo but not country enough for actual country listeners to care ? all while you disappear and leave us with a bunch of scrap pics and a couple lifeless gifs :suburban:

did that girl rush to release her film before Beyonce or was it just a coincidence?

She must have had something already in the works, but I always thought it was an absolutely baffling idea to release worldwide a film of your currently ongoing tour. It completely satiates casual fans, encouraging them to watch the film instead of attending the tour. Not only that, but the version of this tour that will live on in perpetuity is the version that precedes TTPD, meaning the ultimate, refined, all-inclusive, fully realised version of the tour will not be the version distributed on film.

That being said, it seems Taylor isn't currently concerned with her legacy or artistic output as much as she is in ensuring she milks her fanbase for as much money as they can possibly give her during this incredible (but inevitably finite) imperial phase that she's enjoying.

I don't think the Renaissance film is quite as good as Homecoming, but it's cinematography and direction is pretty phenomenal and many critics noted that it actually improved on the live version of the show with it's refined setlist, corrected errors (e.g. erasing Kendrick's mic mistake, making a set peice out of the Alien costume change) and exciting shots. I'm glad the version of this tour that lives on is the movie version we got to see, and I'm glad it came out once the whole thing had wrapped up.

I think the best thing she could do right now while working on...whatever she's working on...is to release an official, up-to-date physical version of Cowboy and unveil it alongside a fully realised booklet of album artwork.

She could even drop another benign teaser trailer for the visuals alongside the physical release, and maybe refer to it as the deluxe version of the project (why not add the Pony Up remix onto the tracklist, it's already 57 tracks long, another wouldn't hurt).

When all 3 acts are done I'd love her to put out an album of the loosies and remixes of this era.

  1. BREAK MY SOUL (THE QUEENS REMIX)
  2. CUFF IT (WETTER REMIX)
  3. AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM (feat. Kendrick Lamar)
  4. DELRESTO (ECHOES)
  5. MY HOUSE
  6. TEXAS HOLD 'EM (PONY UP REMIX)
  7. the next act ii remix (TYRANT feat. Megan?)
  8. loosie (to be released between act ii and act iii like MY HOUSE)
  9. act iii remix
  10. act iii remix
  11. new song
  12. new song

I mean I'm actually assuming we will get more remixes and songs which is a long shot anyway. :lmao:

I don't think this is an issue for her :rip: She could fill stadiums in one city for a whole month if she wanted to, even after the film

i just don't know why Beyonce would appear on the premiere. it kinda doesn't fit her personality to show open support to someone who is actively in a one side competition with her. she loves herself more than that

you think Ms.swift didnt think of this already?

she already knew a new album was coming after the film and she would change the setlist so there was no problem releasing the film in the middle of tour dates.

not that it matters anyway, she has the demand where her fans will sellout her film and tour. In fact the tour was pretty much all sold out before the film even came out

yes. that is the incentive to keep people coming to the show. its a different show.

I hope taylor continues to steal ideas and beats beyoncé to the punch each and every time, maybe itll teach her to release things in a timely manner… TTPD film filmed by nadia? and feature the same alien concepts? Id giggle!

Yeah no. :coffee2:  We're not giggling at theft from a Black originator in 2024.

In all honesty, if she continues to do that, the chasm in public reception between Beyoncé's QUALITY and Taylor's hunger for money will continue to grow as there's no soul there. She takes Beyoncé's concepts and removes any historical substance or connection.

Well, at least when you buy a vinyl from that viper you actually end up with the full album

Also Beyoncé and the viper have the same hunger for money. This is a woman who went through knee surgery, released an album dedicated to the gays, then performed/limped for $25 million for Dubai's ELITE class, a place where her uncle johnny would be put to death for his sexuality. What substance did that have when she accepted that? Meth?

(Also I don't buy the whole stealing idea about a concert film at AMC… billie eilish BTS and etc have all done similar concert films in the past in theaters, just having a laugh at the idea)

But you don't. Midnights had a whole new edition on release day with 7 new songs that are not available in any of the 6 variants she had. TTPD had 4 variants with 4 different "bonus tracks" (never the 4 songs in the same variant) and those ended up being regular tracks from another album that's never been on vinyl.

It's really not that different from the Pink Friday 2 or Cowboy Carter situation, she just does it in a way in which it looks premeditated. Beyoncé could've announced the Beyincé version as Cowboy Carter and then release on the same day the digital version of the album as an extended edition; but it's the same. :michael:

They are literally different editions, Taylor clearly advertised what you are getting and how many tracks you will get prior to purchase. Posted her tracklist well in advance of release and then said "hey these edition of vinyls have bonus track (insert title here)" The standard album tracklist was always the same.

Beyoncé advertised her album + a bonus track, then released a tracklist for the album a week before release, THEN only when people got the album did they find out it's not even the full album, not even the right version of songs, but the title is also wrong with NO bonus track whatsoever.

bleeding fans dry? Sure, taylor takes the cake. A literal SCAM to fans? Fave takes that title. They are not the same at all

:suburban:

Edit: correction, Beyoncé gave the tracklist the day before the album came out. Nothing indicates any track being the "bonus". Id rather take 4 different vinyls having 4 different bonus tracks (which were advertised and clearly labeled) than being told im getting a bonus track but receiving half the album and NO bonus

I really miss seeing Bey perform on live on TV. Crazy that this is her last televised performance, it was such a great performance also! Just amazing!

Cowboy Carter for sure has been her most boring album era. Hopefully things turn around this summer and she doesn't stay silent. May be delusional thinking, but since she is NOT touring this summer, she can at least perform at a festival or award show. Give us something Bey!

What feels worse? The behydrations of 2013 and pre-REN? or the nonexistent movement since CC release?
