Honestly the movie was rushed. She left out the BEST part of Cuff It. And overedited the Cozy segment. And you can find a link for the movie online. It's not hard.

I'd love for her to give us behind the scenes stuff OUTSIDE of her concert films. It does ruin the flow for anyone who isn't a certified Beyoncé stan.

An easy solution is a double feature released to streaming. One is the concert itself, one is the behind the scenes.

Not Little Toucannesters getting Chromatica Ball on streaming before we got the Renaissance film. Can somebody please explain the reason why it's still not on streaming? It was in theaters, so it's edited and ready to go, she just needs to click upload. And she is not doing it because? She wants to create demand/hype before her alleged next tour/residency and that will hurt it somehow? It's just baffling to me.

i feel like she's re-editing it. i remember when she did Made in America and it was streamed live on tidal, everyone's set was up for replay right after but hers took like 2-3 weeks because she was re-editing the show. i feel like since the renny movie was pretty rushed she is probably re-editing sequences before she releases it to VOD/digital.

no idea when that will be, but hopefully in november/december? she seems pretty old school and thats how long movies used to take to come out.

This is a concert movie, not Dune. Editing takes 1-2 months max.

On The Run was filmed september 12th and 13th, released on HBO September 20th.

Side bar read this in the wiki when I went to check on the dates for OTR

Quote

In part one of the trilogy, which premiered on September 15, 2014 on Nowness' official website, Jay-Z is seen kissing Beyoncé's neck whilst she is filmed writhing around on bedsheets. The couple then drive to a diner, where a customer reading a newspaper with the outlaw couple on the front page is seen staring at the back of Beyoncé's head. Jay-Z proceeds to stub out his cigar on the customer's food, before the couple drive off into the desert, laughing. The video is set to the vignette "Il Vizio di Uccidere" by Ennio Morricone and is shot in black-and-white.[18][19] It was noted to be inspired by the movie Bonnie and Clyde and similar to the tour trailer for On the Run.[16][19] Vulture's Nate Jones further compared it to works by Quentin Tarantino and Sergio Leone.[20] However, following the release of part one of the trilogy, most published videos were deleted from the internet as well as part two or three not surfacing for their scheduled releases. When asked about this during an interview with i-D Vice magazine, Rimmasch simply stated "no comment"

and you can no longer stream On The Run on HBO like you can homecoming on netflix (which took her a YEAR to edit, btw). she clearly was not happy with the result. this is also why the FWT and OTR II specials were canned too.

this is beyoncé we're talking about. lets not act like she doesn't do things and then sit on them for months (or years). i definitely feel like re-editing/her not being happy with it is why it didn't go straight to VOD.

She really said, I'll give y'all promo with her best Drea Kelly!

I think it's rude actually! Shows her team are all over the internet! All over it and have made us suffer!

ATP I feel she's limiting her exposure as much as possible to keep the final product feeling fresh. She's playing the long game. Like whatever the film/visual, it's better for her to just let the music speak for itself until she's ready to breathe new life without it all feeling "milked"

Like imagine Ren being an IASF sized era with 5 singles + a Grammy/VMA performance etc etc. We all know she held back, but I'm guessing it's for a good reason. Idk.

The music can speak for itself, but when you're pushing 3 albums that could all be released 5-6 years apart, 40-50 visuals can not speak for themselves. Even if there's a 3 part series highlighting each album, if act iii is another album, there's so much that will get lost. I spent all of 2023 on edge waiting for visuals that were confirmed and teased and I'm a lil over it as well as not caring about more than 5-7 videos for songs for act ii.

We've joked about a month ago that she has a handful of songs from years ago that she will pair with new songs recorded right before act iii, but that just means that her filming schedule will be more obscure than what we think it is. It's possible that 'series of films in lockdown (2019-2021)' supposedly cowboy / alien theme are definitely scrapped and the clips filmed before and after "BREAK MY SOUL" were prematurely previewed for the teaser. Probably because they were excited, needed to capitalize on the success or thought the visuals were set enough to release. I do know you probably shouldn't film a commercial campaign, visuals, tour visuals and reshoot said visuals that are only used for album packaging in the end at the same time because you're not going to like the outcome. Now the million dollar production team from Marvel studios being attached to the production. . . I would have to use some of that damn footage, because I know that was a few pretty pennie's to throw away.

Honestly, I feel like CC is going like they planned it. Remember how they said they didnt expect Rennie to be that longlasting and thus had to prolong the era. I feel like they want to let CC die down, release act 3 quite soon and then tour the trilogy.

Suffering from Success - Wikipedia

Releasing an album while the other is still smashing is not a problem, that would be ridiculous on their part. Not long ago, SZA had two albums in the top 10, now Future has 2, Morgan Wallen has 2 in the top 10, had two in the top 5 and Taylor has a bunch.

Like who takes decisions at Parkwood? An album doesn't have to die completely to let the other breathe in the streaming era, actually an old album still doing good helps the new one.

I do think there's a pretty high likelihood the visuals will flop. The Hive will be excited for the most part, but some people are over it. I just can't see casual Beyonce fans running to watch videos from Renaissance, especially if they're combined with visuals from other acts. People just don't have the attention span anymore.

Agreed, but I just refer to what Parkwood/Beyonce essentially said themselves: they didnt expect Renaissance to be appreciated that much which then led to them extending the era and giving Renaissance its own tour
