This is actually smart . It gets people to stream the album as well for the songs they don't have.

I really hope the mini backlash she is getting over the vinyl makes her actually finalize ACT III far before release. This "grind until last minute" mess stopped being cute YEARS AGO!

The secrecy is worse because a lot of people have said they recorded songs pre pandemic, like I understand the rareness of it all, but I would be annoyed at something coming out when Im in another phase of my life. Like imagine Miley had gotten married and had a baby by now with Liam lol.

 

Lucky for Bey, Flowers happened so this setup is perfect, but same for those country artists and Post Malone (who was CERTAINLY more famous in 2019).

Clearing samples last minute is risky but I get why they do it. The Too Sexy guys are complete assholes and if I remember correctly racist as well. I'm not saying she knew that, but the risk you run when clearing them too early is that people start to talk. I don't think they control their music so they had no choice in the matter, but even if Kelis had gotten a heads up more in advance I could see her going to Twitter and spoiling it before it ever even comes out.

 

I still find the physicals ordeal inexcusable because I think they knew they were misleading us. Super shady and not okay to do to fans that have been supporting you and buying your overpriced merch for years now.

He's only leading 10 seconds and singing background for the rest of the song and "JOLENE". They can easily add some slow face shots, edited the second verse out- which is usually their style- or simply not use the song. Though I tried to stan "JUST FOR FUN" because Willie Jones is from my hometown and this has been made a big deal in Shreveport, he's pretty useless on the song and in terms of visuals, I'd rather she cut that song and elaborate on "II MOST WANTED" and "LEVIIS JEANS".

 

Now, this is even if she's liked the visual film or if they're filmed. How can you can film visuals for a song in 2019-2021 and still be working on the song weeks before it's 2024 release and still like said visuals?
