she called willie jones, shaboozey, tanner, reyna, tiera, brittany, and linda when she pulled the 2019-2020 version (BEYINCÉ with dolly and willie nelson) out of the vault.

 

she realized the statement of the album could be elevated by including rising black country stars, the legend linda, and popular current country-tinged stars like miley & post.

Yep pretty sure about that too. 

Is it too early to say this has been a more boring first 2 weeks then RENAISSANCE's? Or maybe it is just for RENAISSANCE we were genuinely hopeful of stuff still coming, while for this we know it is basically already over....

I'm not bored by any means because we just got a new album, but I did have a tinge of hope we'd get the visuals this round. The idea of waiting until the trilogy is done makes me so sad... getting Renaissance videos potentially four years after the album is wild

2020 - RENAISSANCE is recorded. She decides this is going to be act i now, BEYINCÉ is vaulted.

April 2022 - RENAISSANCE & BEYINCÉ (ltd) covers are shot by Carlijn Jacobs & Mason Poole, styled by Marni.
December 2023 - BEYINCÉ is pulled out of the vault.

February 4 2024 - Grammys. she links up with Miley & Post here.

February 11 2024 - LEAD SINGLES announced/released. album is still titled BEYINCÉ, but she is considering changing it. thats why its only teased as "act ii" 

[sometime this week, she calls the rising black stars.]
February 18 2024 - BEYINCÉ is turned in with the willie jones, tanner, shaboozey, tiera, reyna, brittany, miley, and post collabs and sent to press. a rush pressing can be done in 6 weeks. 

February 25-March 3 2024 - Beyoncé changes her mind about the name. titles it COWBOY CARTER, shoots new cover art by Blair Caldwell & Frederik Heyman, styled by Shiona. At this point she calls Linda and adds SPAGHETTI and YA YA (and the intro and outro to ya ya - linda martell show & oh louisiana), but the albums are already being pressed, so they will not make the physicals, nor will the cover.

March 11 2024 - COWBOY CARTER title is announced with teaser image and pre-orders for BEYINCÉ version of pressing goes up.

March 19 2024 - COWBOY CARTER album artwork reveal by Beyoncé on IG.

March 27 2024 - COWBOY CARTER tracklist reveal.

March 29 2024 - COWBOY CARTER released.

Well it was more exciting (at the time) since we were getting confirmations of a tour (her charity event giving away meet and greets for an upcoming tour), we had a trailer for visuals, tiffany's commercial with summer renaissance playing..

 

So I'd say Renaissance was more interesting at first, now we know what happened with Renaissance and all just assume the era is over so no need getting our hopes up

nah, during renny she was doing club renaissance parties every other weekend all around the country, we got the visuals teaser, the tiffany ads both before (moon river) and after (summer renaissance) the era launched. we also found out about the tour thru the wearable art gala a couple months after that. then the balmain collab happened!

 

i feel like she has virtually vanished now lol, we not even getting capitalisyonce.

I remember the rumors about Bey picking vinyl colors for "her upcoming album" back at the end of 2021... since Renaissance ended up being all black vinyl, I figured those rumors must have been about Cowboy Carter and its red/white/blue variants.

 

then again, she did tease Renaissance (not Cowboy) in the 2021 summer interview with Harpers Bazaar. so the vinyl color rumors might have been bogus all along.

tbh the renaissance vinyl situation seemed a bit rushed to me as well. its possible she wanted to do color variations but just didnt have the time. we know she was clearing samples just weeks before the release, so its possible that was another rush pressing too.
