I took it as the tweet trying to be cute, rather than them actually insinuating that Carter Country was the album title.

 

Carter Country sounds cute as if it were a real place.

Cuz what sense would it make for them to say “Take you to Cowboy Carter” when that wouldn’t be a place versus “Carter Country” which alludes to the place that the Carters own and also a wordplay on the gentre

I think she is definitely experimenting on the album, I can't even imagine a full album of country songs. THE is probably the most country sounding song as BMS was the most straight forward representation of house music. I need some electronica/funk/soul/jazzy/poppy moments in there to switch it up.

Also the more I read about this theory, the more it falls apart. Why is she using Maybelle’s name when she didn’t do any of the recordings? Lesley Riddle, the black man who recorded the songs that they took from black people, is never credited and the black people that created those songs Maybelle re-recorded were never compensated.
