It's written in BOLD on her Spotify page. The media is doing it on purpose. They always fear a new Beyoncé era.

I’m just happy we have pre sales so we don’t have to deal with a catastrophic 150K debut  she’s BEYONCE. She’s known for debuting with good/great sales and success 

I didn't realize how much some Beyhive members and people in general hate Beyoncé's name from her husband. She chose the right title then. I hope she curses out the entire world about this because his name is her children's name, her own marriage name. Jay Z is part of her family and he is not going anywhere. Accept that or go stan someone else.

Cowboy Carter is also such a statement if she is talking about herself. She is not into that ''cowgirl'' crap. The term is COWBOY and she is going to refer herself as that too since Country music is a conservative kind of world.

- During the Mrs Carter Tour, she was going around in every city telling us how much she loved him. She even had an interlude about their exclusivity. Meanwhile JayZ was fornicating with every New Yorker that had a pulse.

Carter is her family name. She has a son named Sir Carter. The name is beyond Jay Z now. Anyone just stuck on Jay Z when hearing that name are slow and need to use their brain better. Beyoncé will never be that single lady that belongs to the world, she is a mother and wife first. Accept that fact.

Do we have to sh*t on the word cowgirl because Beyoncé decided to use the word cowboy? It’s literally just the feminine variation of the word cowboy lol

I just can’t believe at this point after she’s been with this man for 20 something years has children with him and legally carried his last name for the last 16 years that people are literally going to sit here and say she’s doing something wrong for using her own damn name! are you implying that publications getting it wrong means the title is a mess though? how is she responsible for their lack of proof-reading? it's not like she named it a tongue-twister or used a language with characters not many people have seen. it's two words. it's one order. kinda simple.

If family and lineage is a theme on the album I could see cowboy being the title because it’s a reference to her son
