Some of these OBHs are insane. Imagine having the gall to think you can tell someone that you don’t know what they should and shouldn’t call themselves.

If Beyoncé were to divorce Jay-Z tomorrow, she would still be Beyoncé Carter and keep the name (unless or until she got remarried). It’s her family name that she shares with her kids.  It’s the name she daydreamed of having when she was dangerously in love over 20 years ago. She wears it’s proudly.

 

I get ya’ll wanting to view sis as strong and independent or something, but she is, for the most part doing what any normal American woman would do.

 

Can we normalize the name Beyonce Carter. It’s been 16 years!
 

I don’t know why ya’ll view her using her legal name as a weakness or the opposite of feminism. Like sis is in line with society she lives in.

Yes Carter is her last name, and it’s a cute name i will add, but the name is attached to another public figure with whom she has had a tumultuous relationship. People will always have a strong reaction when he’s in the picture whether you like it or not. I just would rather her album to not play into that controversial hand. 
If this was Blue’s album, the title would’ve been instantly iconic but it’s not, it’s thee Beyoncé. 

How would the title having Carter cheapen Bey album when her husband is a successful Rapper and Mogul that is a Billionaire? Beyonce and Jay Z are a power couple whether Y'all like it or not. I'm indifferent towards Jay but lets not act like that man is irrelevant. Bey has a more international fanbase but Jay Z been famous since the mid 90's.

If we’re getting bonus tracks then I’m 100% here for this alleged Jolene cover my concern was it potentially taking up a track on the album as opposed to a original song

When Tina got remarried, people were still calling her Tina Knowles. Celebrity names just tend to stuck. It’s just how it is.

No amount of complaining is gonna make her change the name of the album. It’s done. Fortunately we live in a day and age where you can edit music tags on your preferred music streaming site/application so you can just change the title to something you prefer and live in bliss!

The Mrs Carter tour, The Carters, etc.. We get it. Something new could have been used. Betty Black was so epic imo.

But the puclic is not going to be confused by Beyoncé using the Carter name for tours or album titles, when they know her first as Beyonce’. As long as when you type in the search “Beyonce” and the album “Cowboy Carter” is the first result- it literally doesn’t matter.

Jay took Bey’s last name when they got married right? Waiting for his Knowles-Cater IV album.

Beyoncé is strong, independent, and she loves her husband & her family. she doesn't care if randoms (who will still go stream her music and buy tickets to her tour, might I add) don't like her man.

 

Jay Z is still a huge name in the industry. he's not a pop girl doesn't mean he's irrelevant. he's still highly regarded as a GOAT and a business mogul.

I like how you refer to Jay-Z has "another public figure with whom she has had a tumultuous relationship" as if they're not together anymore.  Jay-Z & Beyonce are a brand. When you're dragging Jay-Z you're dragging Beyonce indirectly it's impossible to separate the two when they're married, live together, have three kids and literally go everywhere and do everything together. Yall didn't listen to Everything is Love and it shows    (which was *after* Lemonade btw)

word on the street is that it’s a 2 part film with the first film containing music from act I and act II and a final film for act III.. it would be smart cause one film for the three acts would be too long and (and it would drop not earlier than 2026 )
