I’d rather a TikTok hit than another tired breakup song dissing a celeb ex. Selena, Shakira, every Taylor song, Ari, Miley, the list doesn’t end.

it’s time to accept that we could be looking at a significant underperformance as far as album sales go. You simply can’t expect to be moving 300-400k albums first week if you’ve not even put a pre-order up with less than a month to go.

I hope that, even without preorders, physicals are ready. If she doesn't want to reveal anything too soon but 1 week before (or same week as the albums) she puts multiple versions to buy on her website she will still sell a lot. Most of her buyers are her fans and they don't need a month to buy an album.. the problem would be if she didn't make any physicals at all for the first week, which would be insane considering she sold 190k pure copies with her last album. Her team can't be  THAT dumb and useless...even Nicki's unorganized ass did vinyl variants (with half the album on it but that's another story)

Definitely not just you. I was on TikTok and reading the comments to one of Rih’s performances at the Indian wedding and people were actually saying she sounded “bad” and saying she was giving nothing. I was GENUINELY shocked they’d be saying that given they have been praising her endlessly for yearrsss since her hiatus.

Lowkey I think Instagram Reels is gonna be what’s gonna takeover TikkTok here pretty soon. Especially with this TikTok UMG stuff happening. It’s obvious the increase Reels popularity and this UMG stuff are just going hand in hand.

And then a week later Beyonce ends up coming out with one of the BEST Super Bowl Ads of all-time, announces new music, goes COUNTRY. Causes mass controversy, and gets a #1 all over the Worrlddd with a Country song and one of her biggest hits since SL. Breaking records left and right making history. And y’all are scared she might not know what she’s doing because of no Pre-orders yet!? Girrlll!!!

I don’t really care how many albums she sells so the idea that I’m freaking out about it is hilarious. My enjoyment of the album is not dependent on the amount of copies it sells. 
 

I was just making a prediction. 
 

I’m sure Bey knows what she is doing and I applaud you for being so unwaveringly supportive of all the decisions she makes.

It did everything it needed to do: provide weight/grit/substance to Beyonce's country genre entry (because THE is light and fluffy), got critical acclaim and has all of the YouTube reviewers eating out of her hands, became a Top 10 Country Charts hit (debuted at #9 on the Country Songs charts), was made by a majority-black writing/producing team who made the song as country/cinematic as they could, and it debuted top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. 

If she and her team don't know it yet, they've created the PERFECT underdog narrative for this song going into the Grammy Song Of The Year category, if not also Country Song of The Year.

Even though we are seeing a surge in streams. I do think Beyoncés discography didn’t take off with young (yt) gen z quickly because her music was never included in video games. Just Dance the video game series is definitely why #thatlady’s debut album singles do well in streaming due to nostalgia. If you aren’t apart of someone’s childhood they won’t find you nostalgic. Also Britney Spears music was never on those video games they used covers instead it was so ghetto. Idk if Beyoncé was excluded by choice or for legal reasons but it was a bad move.

My friend at work told me her elderly customers were talking about “have you heard the new Beyonce country song?” Through word of mouth, a smasha among dinosaurs. 

Received my Cécred products today (ordered last Friday). Not once did I receive a shipment update, so I wasn’t even sure they shipped it out . Today just so happens to be hair-wash day too so right on time
