God this is a depressing rollout.

Beyoncé - "Texas Hold 'Em"
Tbh the UK race is out of our hands. UK hive isn’t going to have any impact as this is a song for the GP. I think the song being back on tiktok will help with Spotify stability but it’s definitely going to be very close this week. We just have to hope that Benson doesn’t massively pull away on Spotify. Would be amazing for Bey to get a 4th week at #1 in the UK, the longest in her career. But I’m definitely not taking it for granted.

Spotify Day 9: Eternal Sunshine 30.3m+
I’m genuinely baffled as to how this is supposed to be bad? Also, I wish some of you would stop trying to convince the rest of us that Yes, and? is a bad song when it’s actually really not.

Beyoncé - "Texas Hold 'Em"
UK hive need to mass buy Texas because it could really get a 4th week at #1, it’s really close. Just 7,000 streams between her and Benson on Spotify which I think is equal to like 7 sales lol.

Ariana Grande - 'eternal sunshine'
Just listened to it another couple of times. It’s a good album, but I’m still not blown away. I will say the album is a pleasant surprise as I like it more than her previous albums, but it’s not something I’ll be listening to in a few weeks from now.

Are we surprised? This is a truly underwhelming rollout so far.

Beyoncé
This is such a weird post lol. No one is trying to insert Beyoncé into anything? They literally just posted a tweet from Pop Crave and asked if it were true? I don’t see that as trying to insult Ariana. If anything, doesn’t it suggest she was inspired by Beyoncé? Wouldn’t be a surprise since she’s a massive fan.

Beyoncé - "Texas Hold 'Em"
What kind of person feels the need to come repeat the same thing again when they didn’t get the reaction they wanted the first time? It’s giving main character syndrome. No one cares what you think about the song, I promise you.

The album is good, it just hasn’t blown me away Will give it another few listens before I fully make my mind up.

Beyoncé - "Texas Hold 'Em"
Got an ad on Spotify for Texas I was shocked.

Beyoncé - "Texas Hold 'Em"
I mean, 5.1 million is still really impressive by any standards and I would define it as a smash. It’s doing much better and having more longevity than other releases by mainstream artists as of late.

Beyoncé - "Texas Hold 'Em"
Of course the song is going to decline on streaming after it’s been taken off tiktok. Anyone who said it wouldn’t make an impact was delusional if we’re being honest I think it will rebuild organically as people clearly love the song, but it’s evidently going to experience a decline initially.

Beyoncé
150k debut would be underwhelming considering the success of Texas. There’s no reason she should be debuting with anything less than 300k considering her status. The only reason we are even considering a 150k debut is because of what has been an abysmal rollout thus far. Of course it won’t impact her career. She could debut with 20k and it wouldn’t negate what has already been a legendary career. I just think low numbers like that damage the perception of relevancy and longevity as annoying as it is.

Beyoncé - "Texas Hold 'Em"
Everyone catching up to her in the UK so 4 weeks at #1 looking like a stretch at this point It had over 100,000 more streams last Monday in the UK which is a significant drop. Tiktok does have a massive impact on the longevity of songs, unfortunately.

Are we obliged to agree with the potential reason(s)? Bey does a lot of stuff that doesn’t make any sense.

Adele is not close to Ed Sheeran???- Beyoncé - "Texas Hold 'Em"
What do these 3 artists have in common?- Beyoncé
Yep. Even the hive who act like they’re above it will be on here complaining come release week when those projections come in. The inability to hold Beyoncé accountable for anything will ultimately be her undoing. She can’t keep doing this to herself and expect to be selling out WW stadium tours into her 50’s, I’m sorry. It simply doesn’t work like that.- Beyoncé
She could at least announce the title of the album. I’ve heard radio and TV presenters refer to those album merely as “Act II” so many times at this point. It’s really shoddy marketing. Why do a huge Verizon commercial if you’re not going to take advantage of it? Why would you not make the preorder immediately available after the commercial aired? Doesn’t really make any sense to me. A “preorder the album wherever you buy your music from midnight tonight” message at the end of the commercial would have probably done wonders. What a missed opportunity If she’s doing this because she’s afraid of a leak, it’s very counter-productive.- Beyoncé - "Texas Hold 'Em"
Beyoncé’s Sunday streams always make me laugh. Those illuminati rumours really did a number on her- Beyoncé - "Texas Hold 'Em"
Yes, let the lead single—which is having global success and the only way of internationally promoting her impending COUNTRY album—die, all because Comeder isn’t a fan of it I think this is what they call main character syndrome.- Beyoncé
Kanye is taking that #1. They’re setting the Twitter hive up for a lashing on Monday because you know they can’t help but get ahead of themselves.- Beyoncé
Not much else to talk about right now- Beyoncé
Hmm, not true for me. I defend Jay a lot and I respect him massively as an artist. The reason I don’t like EIL is because I feel they’re collectively more talented and creative than EIL indicates. It’s very middle of the road. When you get to a point in your career where you’ve experienced huge commercial success, it’s time to do something experimental and daring that shifts the culture and elicits conversation. Something that is going to change hearts and minds. Something that will be referenced for decades to come. EIL is not that. It’s a rich couple bragging about their wealth and the amazing life they live. It did nothing to shift the culture, it lacked social commentary, and it was poorly conceived. Compare that to Renaissance. It shifted the culture, it was filled with cultural and historical references, and it was extremely well conceived and thought out. It had meaning and substance. It is something that will be remembered for decades and centuries to come because of that, not just because of the music itself. It’s only because of the respect I have for Jay that I was and still am disappointed with EIL. - Beyoncé - "Texas Hold 'Em"
