I assume it's the pregnancy with the twins?

With A Star is Born dropping in 2018 and filming taking place in 2017. I can imagine that the talks Bradley mentioned were around 2015/16.

The irony of all of this is that there's a chance we would have gotten Country or Country-adjacent Bey way earlier looking and listening to what the material in the movie ended up like. Albeit within the context of a film soundtrack, so probably will have been spun as a "concept" soundtrack to justify it being so left of what's usually expected of Bey.

Then again, I do remember reading that the original concept with Bey would have been different and more along the lines of The Bodyguard. So maybe "Ally" would been more Sasha Fierce lol.

I think it all worked out as it should have. Love both ladies.

Oh yeah definitely the twins, I was wondering how Gaga entered the scene after Beyonce left. As a fan of both it would be interesting to know if they interacted at some point.

Am I the only one seeing 16C as the latest music section on Apple Music?

I guess it’s time to promote our doll 16C as TH’E is already on its way to #1

She got pregnant with the twins, same reason she dropped out of Coachella first year.

Either way, it happened for the best.

Did she drop out of the film twice? I remember she dropped out way back when she was pregnant with Blue. This is when Clint Eastwood was the original Director.

Do y’all think Beyoncé did reshoots for the Visuals because of the weight thing too? Because I can tell she’s been REALLY loving her new body ever since Renaissance and she looks much happier with it too (the consistent posting and revealing couture). And I’m nearly convinced she held reshooting for this same exact reason too lmao. Do y’all think so? Cause I’m just trying to figure out :deadbanana2:.

I actually think her body looked amazing then, I can see where she might not have been fully happy cuz she might have not reached her goal but the only issue for me was that in some of the trailer shots her face kinda look less snatched and youthful, just a lil water weight here and there which most people wouldn’t recognize.

she is a body and face girl though and at the time of the tour she was more tuned, refined and snatched facially and body-wise compared to the shots we saw in the visuals maybe that was an issue.

Who knows…..

Cant wait for B to Perform " Suga Mama " on her Next Tour ....wheeeeew WE WON

It looks like they removed the standalone single but have not featured the waterfall pack with the instrumental and aCapella.

It's possible but I am not so sure.

:clap3:3 BILLION streams by year end.

So saw this on the new post Bey just posted about Cecred on IG:

I knew ish like this was coming. It's not the end of the world, but I really hope they have things lined up to offset a lot of the valid points here. Because, while a haircare line is totally the right fit for Bey, promoting a haircare line in 2024 is literally about what the commenter here points out: personal connection.

It's hard because accessibility is not naturally Bey's brand positioning. But she really ought to have tutorials etc that live specifically on the Cecred social pages if she wants to preserve the premium of her main IG and not spam her main followers.

I feared they'd go the route of carting Ms. Tina out to do the "in-person" aspect of promo that Bey obviously doesn't like/avoids. I just hope they can find the right balance.

Agreed. Im totally on board in buying and using the Products for myself however , i sighed a bit at the Video she posted a few Minutes ago . Its Visually Nice sure...but not personal . I want to see her use it / Neal doing her Hair ....

Not shade to that girl but she's not going to do videos where she giggles for the camera and stuff, it's not her style. Selena does it, Gaga does it, all the girls do it. It's simple, you can watch that over there if you need that. Bringing other artists makes no sense, Beyoncé is not them and she doesn't have to be.

The most she might do is sharing her hair being washed and styled but it will still be a professional footage and not a "relatable" one because this is her job. I do understand the complain about her not filming herself using the products but those videos are probably coming.

Some Hive need to accept Beyoncé moves differently. It's now or never.

The comments are right about doing personal marketing. Voice overs won't win over the market she wants to tap in to  :giraffe:

There's a reason why every big celeb who launches a beauty product does a ton of tutorials using it.

It's about balance.

I can appreciate that Bey's business setup may not need to exactly mirror Rihanna and co's, but she can't ignore the climate we're in. Personal connection is commodifiable and really is the type of currency she needs to spend to GET people to spend.

She's better off being involved in a brand like Cecred as an investor if she wants to be somewhat hands-off. If she wants to be the face of it or leverage her face towards it, there's a certain amount "personal connection" that it calls for. And it can't just be voiceovers on glossy ads with Mama Tina doing the promo-promo.

Again, I actually LIKE a lot of what I've seen so far, but they have to figure out the personal connection part especially when plugging something as personal and culture-driven as haircare. Specifically Black haircare.

honestly I wish she'd post a photo like the one she posted last year when she first announced that she was working on it. like, her putting oil in her hair in the mirror. or Neal or Tina (actually) doing her hair.

I don't expect Riri-style tutorials from Bey. That's not true to who she is. Riri is the kinda girl that'll beef with other girls on twitter and do red carpet interviews. They have different approaches to celebrity.

But the personal connection is there, it's everywhere actually and on a DEEP level not on a surface level. She shares the history of growing up in a salon, her mother doing and taking care of her hair, how hair is such a huge part of her upbringing as a person and her family. There's a picture showing her family on 3 generations of women doing their hair in-house and it looking healthy. That's Beyoncé's way of connecting, it's true to her.

What people want and have always wanted is for her to be "relatable" or like everyone ekse and honestly she's not and she has never pretended to be.

I LOVE the brand it feels authentic to me because we know Beyonce's story from childhood. Her breakout music video ( Bills Bills Bills) was in a hair salon.

Besides, she is selling Cecred on a website as a soft-launch. Why are people mad about the marketing. They gon buy it or not.

What is valid is to say Beyoncé we want a tutorial of you doing your own hair. What is not valid is to say "be personable" "this one did this, you should too".

It truly deserves to be a streaming classique… I’d say at least hitting the 3m average benchmark would be ideal :giraffe:
