Imagine the numbers if the album pre-order was up skskskksksk

Top 10 debut 26 years in the game is kinda crazy, the fact that Texas may go number 1 on album release week like BMS is actually insane

  • Potentially #1 in the US, UK and Canada in the same week

It's interesting she isn't posting any personal pics on IG. Usually the moment she's spotted she throws them up.

Seems like it's intentional to keep the album and single announcements at the top of her page or they want her next post to be the cover and title reveal

Debuting possibly at #2 with Texas is crazy to me :deadbanana2:

Im sorry I ever doubted you queen :WAP:

For the chart inclined, what physical configurations do y'all want for the album?

Did a little reading on Billboard's latest bundling rules and I'm not sure the Rennie poses thing is allowed anymore. Well, not in exactly the same way. When it comes to merch/posters etc, there are only two versions of a bundle allowed now.

So, for me, it'd be:

* 4 vinyl cover variations

* 4 CD cover variations

* 2 merch bundles

* Cassettes: no clue why they didn't go this route with Ren, but definitely with this Country/analog/retro era, it makes sense.

* Retail store exclusives: Amazon, Target, etc having exclusive covers + an additional track. Her playing ball with Verizon has me encouraged that she won't be so anti-commercial tactics this time around

* Live Ticket Bundling: whether she's doing The Sphere or the random possibility of a tour, she should make the girls pre-order the album for ticket pre-sale access. They can quietly make this the $5 minimum "add-on" requirement needed for the sales to count. Given how big she is on her music coming in at a premium, I doubt this happening. But never say never.

She needs to squeeze all avenues for what they are worth. Big numbers are possible, but she really needs to do all the things.

I just hope there's enough physical available for purchase. She could've sold much more with REN if more physical were available. Not to mention, the shipping was kinda messy at the time.

I would do the same she did for Renaissance to keep continuity. Also, I hope she sticks to just one pressing of the vinyl like she did with Renaissance. It’s really unfair how indie artists kept the vinyl industry working during the years it wasn’t mainstream just for the likes of Taylor, Adele or Bey to come at any time now and order thousands of vinyls in a short period of time postponing indie records. I’m glad Bey only made 30k for the initial release of Renaissance.

With the way deadwood operates. We’ll be lucky if even 1 vinyl is out on time. And I just beg bey to let the physicals ship over the weekend…don’t need the AUS / NZ girls being messy again.

I definitely feel like cover and title reveal will be any moment now. I think she’ll want to get the preorder out there before focusing on Cécred next week.

The lack of pre order links is just wholly stupid

:rip:

Her web shop is offline …something is cooking

The album pre-order is one thing but I’m surprised they don’t even have single downloads on their website which was the one thing they did well last era.

But this era is going so well (and better than Act 1 so far) that I’m optimistic that they have something up their sleeve.

I feel similarly re: big artists and vinyl variations. I get that it’s first and foremost a business, but even when I get excited about variants it’s something in the back of my mind. 1-3 in like a reasonable number is fine, but stuff like the Adele 30 fiasco or the scavenger hunts Sw!ft has been doing are excessive and clog up the plants. Even the bigger indie acts like Caroline Polachek are getting super delayed - Desire, I Want to Turn Into You came out on Valentine’s Day last year and those weren’t ready to ship until like… November :toofunny2:

I think it would be fun, however, to do a special box set once all the acts are done. Limited run of cool colors, stuff like that. Like the Rennie box set but more luxe

Sales from the websites do not count anymore.

Y’all purchase that CLEAN version I know y’all have $1.29 and if not that’s what overdraft protection is for :mandown:

How big of a gap do we have between Texas and the predicted number 1 song?

Why aren’t the sounds on TikTok? A video would definitely push the songs further.

Just realized this! Yes — Columbia/Parkwood need to capitalize off of the absence of UMG music on the platform! But I think the casual listener can still figure out it’s Bey’s new song, but still :bloo:

We need everything to go flawless this era!

Day 3 after the surprise drop:

It kinda hit me today what a legendary song Texas could turn out to become. If the TikTok challenge gets bigger (which is likely to UMG not being present on the platform) and the song receives more and more radio support, it almost seems guaranteed that Texas could become her most successful lead since DrIL. This being a country song is such a statement, and for her to succeed is mind-blowing

It was around this time 10 years ago that Drunk in love was challenging for #2 on the hot 100 too.

Her longevity is insane :deadbanana:

i read that digital sales from the website don't count anymore since certain girlies were abusing it...so they aren't wasting their time
