While I do agree the Brazilian certification system is flawled, Beyoncé is still really popular here, she is a household name, the type that even your grandmother have heard of.

I don't know if you guys saw it, but one of her Brazilian fan pages had a meet and greet. I'm so happy for them!

I think it was really sweet of her to go and show love after how supportive they've been. And they did the right thing by not announcing it - seven THOUSAND people were tracking her plane when the rumors started two hours before. Imagine if it had been officially announced? It would've been a disaster and I genuinely think people would've gotten hurt.

I didn't gain or lose anything from her appearance (except her private jet emissions lol) but a Brazilian friend explained to me that her going to Salvador is a big deal, it's not Rio or São Paulo, and it's apparently home to one of the largest African diasporas in the world outside of the US. that's pretty cool, good for the fans!

 

yes, it was a good idea to make this a surprise. this way, she got to say hi to the real fans instead of the phonies and socialites.

I just came across a timothee chamalet interview where he’s asked what his favorite concert of 2023 was. He went to Renaissance tour. At first he said he can’t remember attending any concerts, but the host reminded him he saw Beyoncé this year. Timothee went on to say that he was surprised he didn’t know that many songs, and she single ladies or halo. Mind you he stanned BIGGER when no other celebs acknowledged the gift album in 2018. 
 

I don’t know why the hive continues to support Beyoncés terrible marketing strategy of ditching her biggest hits. No other popstar in the world does this. You can still sing your new music and sing the hits that the whole audience knows. I too, would be underwhelmed if I went to a Carrie Underwood concert, and she didn’t seem the only two songs of her that I stan (last name and before he cheats). And that’s just on period
