People are the complete oposite of mad over here .  She's being praised to high heavens, specially because she did this in Bahia instead of the usual São Paulo/Rio. That was quite a move from her part. It meant a lot for the black community in Brazil and for that region in the country which is often overlooked when it comes to big events where people often neglect it and focus only on São Paulo/Rio.

we don't know what happened behind the scenes after all those months of speculations we would have a brazilian leg of her tour. it's been three tours that we're skipped. my two cents are in logistics or dates. logistics because the rena stage and props are massive in comparison to her mrs. carter tour. dates because brazil was packed with soccer tournaments and international concerts this year. I have a feeling the dates she wanted weren't available and she would have to rethink the whole european and north american dates (which would have been even harder to do tbh). Bey has performed in way worse brazilian logistics in the late-2000s, so unless she secretely doesn't like performing here that's my bet on the reasoning why were skipped and yesterday she did a cute mea culpa recognizing the brazilian hive. if she cares that much for a two minute appearance, hopefully this will translate in a priority for her next tour (whenever that happens)

I'm sure she likes performing in Brazil, but I think the cost is just really high probably for transport and travel, and maybe it wouldn't make financial sense, and I don't think it would be fair to give them a lesser show for the same cost.

exactly. like what we saw in the movie.... that stage would take a huge amount of money to transport with all those props, especially if Bey wanted to move around different brazilian regions like she usually does

Honestly feels like this whole Brazilian trip is a response to the whole backlash she got when she didn't announce dates for them. Queen is afraid she'll lose her fans from there, so she had to throw them a bone. At least until the next tour starts and they're on the ignore list again. Cruel kween.

She didn’t have to go there yesterday and yet she did. So we will see. If it was anyone else going yesterday I know yous would be saying how that person loves their fans

She just saw Brazilians on every show and she felt like she owes them some acknowledgement, so she jumped on a plane and said hi and went back to take her kids to school

I know I'm not seeing people still wanting more from Beyonce. What celeb comes out of pocket to jet themselves to another country just to say hey? And she personally interacted with alot of fans who are thanking her. This was truly a treat and I don't see any Brazilians complaining

 

The live album may very well come. But the possibly of dates are nearly non-existent. Think about the optics of a huge stage production NOW, when she just premiered a film about said production for a fraction of the cost.

I would be too if I was in their position.

What she did for them is VERY NICE, but like someone said earlier she could've perform a little something (and I don't think a stripped back rendition of one of her ballad would be CRUMBS!), or at least stay vacationing there for a few days just to make up for that CO² emission from hell.

I didn't feel this uproar for the London premiere because at least she stayed over there for more than an hour.

 

I wasn't in the loop yesterday so I didn't go through all the buildup, excitment and false hope. Thank god.

 

But I'm not sure I would've expected any announcement from this kind of appearance. At best she would've announced that she's PLANNING on coming to Brazil but I wouldn't have cared all the way from France.

Haha yes it was in the movie but they didn't use that footage for BILG. I was sat there specifically waiting for it and then it never came

It was a PR move to save face for not bringing the tour. That much is obvious (unless she announces dates some time soon, yes I’m in denial, leave me alone). 
 

She also has a TV special airing this Sunday night.
