Beyoncé can't please everybody. If you are going to Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour, you should at least give Beyoncé's Renaissance album a listen.

 

With that being said, songs like Hey, Goldmember, One Night Only (Disco Version), Party, and (the entirety of) Freakum Dress/Sweet Dreams/Blow should've been chosen over songs like 1+1/Run the World/I Care being performed for the millionth time and ******* Rather Die Young

As much as I love the RWT, I do think she shouldve added more of her actual hits. Irreplaceable in a stadium would've been legendary and could've replaced love on top. She could've seen how far the crowd would sing it instead of the crowd repeating the same line in LoT.. basically do what she did for glastonbury. Actually do a verse/chorus of Sweet Dreams. Single Ladies would've ate with this robot aesthetic (ofc with simplifying the choreography due to knee injury). and ofc made drunk in love permanent on the setlist. 

 

I feel like my changes wouldn't drastically change the entire show and wouldve appeased more casuals while they are being introduced to her new music (she really breaks up the renaissance tracks with even more deep cuts like black parade, rather die young, etc, I could see as a casual fan that would be less than ideal)

I HATE how we could’ve gotten a PERFECT era if she had released the visuals. Omfg this era would’ve been the biggest of aaalll her eras if she just released 3 music videos or did a visual album

Ok.....maybe whens she does her ERAS tour, timothee can go listen to halo, if i were a boy and single Ladies. This was called the renaissance tour supporting an album called renaissance. It was for the actual fans and WE had a great time. The casuals can wait for her eras tour.  Till then, nobody gives a hoot what that twink thinks.

You mean the marketing strategy of performing majority of her new album for the tour that’s supporting said album?? 
 

Either way, she doesn’t need to perform all her biggest hits. She’s the type of artist whose minor hits are even iconic (Flawless, Love on top, Partition etc.). The fact that she had people going nuts over DIL (a 20 Y.O. album track) says it all. He just doesn’t know her music that well and considering how he forgot he even attended means he likely just went to accompany Kylie

I finally got the chance to see the movie yesterday! Some thoughts (since everything has already been talked about):

 

The best:

- Dangerously in Love. Truly emotional.

- Alien Superstar fail

- Crew Segment

- Cuff It - Energy - Break My Soul. Joyful!

- Blue’s Segment (that quick shot of Bey singing Blue at the VMAs! great detail)

- Formation-Diva-Run the World editing

- Kendrick’s verse

- Celebrities doing the electric slide to Before I Let Go

- Doing Crazy In Love in the outfit that looks like the one from the video.

- Uncle Johnny’s segment and Tina talking about making the outfits for Destiny’s Child. Tina saying how fashion saved her family and how Johnny made garments because her mother taught him so he could work in an environment where he could be openly queer. And tying that to Bey’s speech at the fashion awards and the audience at the Renaissance World Tour. 

 

The worst:

- Cutting the intro to Cuff It’s acapella (it was in the trailer!!!).

- Heated starts abruptly kinda.

- Choosing a version of the love medley from Virgo’s Groove without Cater 2 U.

- The weird restart of AHAP mid song to include Kendrick.

- Doing Thique in the red Loewe outfit that looks too similar to the red Loewe outfit from the previous segment. And not showing that red outfit for AUIYM (the red outfit had the best dancers’ costumes).

- Not showing more of the Alien Superstar outfit when she comes back after the costume change.

- Cutting Love On Top.

 

 

This was not like Homecoming, and it was a great watch. In a way it feels like there’s an entire concert movie edited and they made a documentary out of it. Best case scenario, we get that concert movie (including the songs that got cut) with the live album sometime soon.

She usually keeps working on her music until the album is ready to be dropped. For instance the Too Sexy sample for Alien Superstar had been cleared like three months before the album release date.
