I'm going with this one:

The Kendrick feature, the drug imagery, the late 80s Atlanta sound, and the Miami Bass. :alexz:

That one.is great too!

Tho listening to BMS and hearing "you wont break my soul" while being chased by police cars and helicopters sounds epic

Partition would also work really well for the strip club setting

Isn't Freedom basically confirmed for GTA 6? I remember it and something called Wade in the Water leaking as part of the soundtrack, but I'm pretty sure Wade in the Water is actually just Freedom and someone mixed it up because they heard the lyric "I'm gonna wade through the water" and thought that was the title.

I broke and gave her my coin last night cause I needed to see the film. :cries2:

I also took two friends with me who are major swifties and they really enjoyed themselves and learned a lot, one of them admitted she thought Bey was overrated and godly before seeing her with the kids and talking about her being a serial people pleaser.

The audio is insane!!!! She sounds and looks amazing at every single angle.

I think I understand the vision of what she wanted, that BMS video did look cool, but she wanted an organic word out mouth connection through people and however they socialize now.

I plan to watch this again for sure.

For those who watched it at a regular theater AND in Dolby cinema, was the sound significantly better in Dolby? There’s no showing in Dolby in my town :( but I’m willing to drive an hour or so to catch it on Dolby if it’s worth it.

where is the live album we need the damn live album

There are still some countries that still didn’t get the film, for example in Spain it’s coming on the 21st of December… so my guess is, if the live album is coming, it will come after that date.

much better in dolby.. it depends on the theater sound system, but in the regular theater's they dont upgrade their sound system as often, so mine would sound muffled at bass heavy moments. I'd definitely see it in dolby tbh

I think this is very good, the theaters by me is also almost sold out for the showings today. I think the good word of mouth is having an impact

I came here immediately after seeing it. Parkwood’s official account shared it too. No one noticed that???

I really appreciate both of these takes because they basically speak to both sides of my stance on the status of the visuals.

Stripping away all emotion and disappointment about the lack of visuals to date (which is 98% of the discourse around them from most), two things are apparent:

* The literal data/history we have supports the reality that Bey doesn't "scrap" things. Her release dates stick, her releases aren't "messy" (conventionally speaking) and she delivers on her word. She's very fiscally minded, so I'd lean more towards her pumping more $$$ into making the visuals of life (and recouping by selling it to a streamer) than losing $$$ on something that never sees the light of day.

BUT...

* She's been really verbatim about being in a new season of life. One that is less work, more freedom. Plus, there's a first time for everything, including her scrapping ish.

For now, though, I'm more inclined to believe she won't scrap the visuals. She speaks a lot about "time" in the movie and I wonder aloud if taking her time rather than rushing to tick-box expectations is now part of her mode of operation.

Beyoncé isn’t above scrapping things…and basing it on the past isn’t helpful since she can change her mind on things ya know.

As people have pointed out, She scrapped FWT release for example.

The more time passes, the less it makes sense to release these visuals. I’d love to be wrong, but literally what’s the point of releasing visuals for a 1.5 year old album where the tour has ended and having just released a theatrical concert film? Unless she decides to release it as a gift for fans for free or something literally there’s no hype or point anymore, she lost that opportunity. Only hardcore fans still care and I think she knows that.

Of course they would just show it in theatres and let it rot afterwards. Ever since 2013, they are doing EVERYTHING they can to kill longevity.

Bey has been all about longevity, but now its literally all about killing momentum. Jesus christ

how does she even choose what false rumors she'll address at this point? she's so random.

whilst music videos are typically used to promote a song/album/product, it doesn’t mean they can’t be made or released for the sake of creating art. not everything has to be linked with selling the product.

Her not reading it over before posting :rip:

Did anyone try the second week drop? I thought the second week drop was lovely

:clack:

You’d think they’d want to entice fans with hints of more goodies incoming instead of consistently bursting bubbles and crushing hopes

:clack:

America Has a Problem would be perfect for GTA 6.

Maybe it's the "perfectionist" side of her not liking the film after rushing it to the theaters. That also has to be why she scrubs every live performance post 2013 off the internet besides the pre-recorded probably rehearsed several million times & spliced together Oscars Be Alive performance.

I really want to see the movie a second time and dance in my seat this time but I have PTSD from getting covid? (or the common cold idk my tests were inconclusive) the day after I saw the film. I rarely go to the movies and of course the one time I do I get sick all week.

Why do they have all these pro black anthems if the two main characters aren't black? This list is probably outdated
