Dangerously in love deserves its flowers. I wish the streaming was better.

my theory for her poor streams is that on top of all her sabotage and shenanigans a lot of her older music just aged badly (Bidet alone is unlistenable due to awfully aging mixing and the production sounds crunchy these days), same for half of I Am’s severely dated production and so on

her always making the live versions a million times better, both vocally and instrumentally, doesn’t help either cause then less people are going back to listen to songs she’s constantly making more interesting 20 years later

she just has this habit of making the songs so much better on stage that you can’t go back and listen to the original anymore, like i can’t see myself ever listen to the album version of Cozy again :mummy:

I 100% agree with this. I often watch her performances/concerts on Youtube but rarely play her albums on AM. I most of the time feel like the studio versions lack energy compared to the live performances.

I agree to an extent simply because Cozy is still that b and her rapsinging after Madisons speech goes HARD regardless :jonny: Cozy cannot be put in that box

MTE and i think it’s the same for a lot of people, like i know casuals who don’t care about her like that but they love the arrangements on Homecoming

i know it’s never happening and i don’t even think any artist really does that but i feel like actual officially released studio versions of her live songs would work quite well for her, at least for her old hits

something like this just officially made by Parkwood, i’d buy that **** x10 :WAP:

:deadbanana2: Silver linings

If she ever does a DIL anniversary edition I’m gonna need her to get permission to release her version of In Da Club (maybe switch Hip Hop Star for it hihi). :giraffe:

when you click on someone’s instagram following tab and immediately notice they’re not one of the 317 million people that follow Beyoncé on instagram do you mentally label them a beyonce hater until empirical evidence proves otherwise?

A little drastic to say her music didn't age well when I've been relistening to her discography this year. Outside of DIL you can not really place the albums in the year they were released. It doesn't really fit in anywhere. Her sound is not like any of the other pop girls either. I can listen to rih and the albums mostly all flow together, especially her hits. Same with Taylor, etc.

I miss you and Countdown are on the same album like... :isudumblmao:

my sister unfollowed her right before Ren was released but ig she was just tired of the Ivy Park spamming, god knows we’ve all been there :deadbanana:

I found out this summer one of my best friends wasn't following her and now it turned into a joke. I think she will never follow her just to piss me off, but she'll be the first to ask me to watch the visuals with me! :lmao:

not aging well was probably not the right term but take DIL - Bday - I Am and then take ST - Lemonade - Ren… the difference in production and genre alone is baffling

Ren songs sound like they cost a million each just in production meanwhile some songs on Bday sound like they were recorded on Tina’s old toaster :deadbanana4:

also the fact that pre 4 and post 4 Beyoncé are basically two totally different artists with different styles of music, i’m sure that must play a big role in how people view and consume her music… like there’s a lot of older people who love her early work but don’t like the new one as much and a lot of newer hive LOVE anything after 4 but don’t use her first 3 as much

Alot of Beyoncé fans don't follow her on Instagram though, it's not like there's much to follow :rip:

That womans biggest talent is called Media Manipulation and my God is she excellent at it. Truly one of a kind in that aspect cause God knows its not because of music/talent

I'm appalled by her inability to perform. but her fans think she serves peak choreo and vocals every time she yells and stomps. so she is winning!

I would have LOVED if she toured folk/more instead of releasing a mediocre album and playing radio fodder hits of her career. she's at her best when she's standing still or sitting at her piano, playing her more lyrical songs. but that wouldn't have been as profitable!

Can I say something?

It's embarrassing watching Hive tweet and fall over themselves to sing Bey's praises for how much money she's making. I celebrate she has the highest grossing tour as a Black woman because that truly means something. But I saw someone adding up her revenue from Ivy Park, Dubai, etc, and praising how she's nearly made a billion in revenue in one year and it's just like.... so out of touch and sycophantic.

It's like her banking an obscene amount of money is a feather in their own caps, meanwhile their car rattles and the AC doesn't work on the way to work.
