Sooooo I listened Sandcastles the other day and burst out laughing at the part where she cracked......truly the worst song on Lemonade....convince me which song on the ablum is worse :-*

Some of y’all may scoff but we live in a different era now. I saw a video on TikTok where they were asking people on the street to name the artist based off the songs and one was “ say my name, jumpin jumpin, survivor” and a 20 something year old didn’t know who that was.

Come on now.

“Dishes smashed on my counter from our last encounter
Pictures snatched out the frame

Worst lyrical moments of her career (we’re ignoring Daddy and Ring Off here).

Those songs were released before that person was born and the group dissolved, are they really supposed to know them? And how important is that 1 random person interviewed in the street for TikTok who doesn’t know some DC singles? Beyoncé just broke the record for the biggest tour by a female and the biggest tour by a black artist. Trust me, people know who Beyoncé is and what she does.

More instances of a certain artist doing promo without the artist actually doing anything, it's almost like you can hire a team to do the promotion for you

She wants to be sade or something and this isn’t 2007 anymore, and she’s no longer relevant that’s why it can’t happen.

I think I covered it all.

One of the easiest skips on Lemonade besides Forward and Sorry :-*

Sandcastles was so immensely ugly on first listen I thought she wrote it by herself

TLC were before my time too and I could name their 90’s songs at 20 something. They aren’t that far removed to not know discography of iconic artists. If people can know Beatles songs but not DC? Please

Y’all really act like Beyoncé is ancient and is touring in her 70’s and we should applaud that she is even known. Lol She’s only 42, the GP should know her catalog inside and out by now. Not only mentioning single ladies and halo.

We know the biggest tour thing is only temporary, not even will last a year.

Sandcastles is always a skip for me. I don’t understand why they approved for it to be on the album. I wonder how many songs were passed up for that.

right, as if one random video on TikTok proves anything. people post the most ridiculous and dumbest people in these street interview videos. there's a guy that asks Americans basic math and they fail miserably. that doesn't suddenly make 2+2 = 5 for everyone else.

There are a lot of things that are technically illegal but there are ways to work around them. Are you new to how everything operates lol?

They are not easy to spot, if that were the case labels wouldn’t pay millions for them. It’s still happening now.  Billboard also turns a blind eye to a lot of it. Vice did a documentary on how a lot of streams are fake.

Love Drought

So you think that if her team promotes Jealous and Love Drought so the GP knows them, they’ll think she’s a legend because somehow her singles don’t show her talent but those songs do? hm.. ok :bird:

If some people are not using the word legend in reference to Beyoncé is because people don’t usually use that word for people that’s still alive and active.

You don’t remember that annoying comparison of Queen’s lyrics and Beyoncé's Run The World chorus? The GP isn’t exploring the deep cuts of albums, they’re familiar with the singles on radio, which don’t always highlight the best of an artist. I love Beyoncé’s singles, but let’s say all you heard from Renaissance was Break my Soul or Cuff It… would you call Beyoncé a legend after listening? It’s not like they had a music video to watch that elevated the songs, or a performance.

I agree the GP doesn't like calling people who are active legends, but they might call her one if she tried to promote her album. But if you want to drink pickle juice, go for it

I love me a fellow Love Gout hater! I always fear slipping into a coma when it comes on.

Love Drought haters are those kids who didn’t receive any love from their parents so they had to act out in class for attention. It’s quite sad really, society has failed them

That same GP would call The Weeknd or Bruno Mars legends. Do we really care about them?

And All Night was a radio single (US, UK, Australia) and it only got to top 20 on Urban AC. Urban and Rhythmic dropped it afer a month.

Sandcastles is camp and dramatic, perfect for her movie Obsessed. If you get it you get it
