  • It was the best concert of my life, bar none. Idc!    It was extraordinary, it was ineffable.  I knew I loved it based on the videos but I... Hey I don't know.    Best moment

I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

Agreed they automatically reduce the level of audience engagement

I said now drop it like a thotty.

Drop it like a thotty.

I hope there’s no poetry monologues in the Renaissance film. Keep the transitions between songs when they’re already perfect. Don’t insert anything between the songs. It works for Lemonade, but not for Renaissance

i’ll never get over her singing drop it like a thotty and asking the audience to “go crazy" while she just stands there and does absolutely nothing the whole song :deadbanana4:

I think we are getting acted scenes and celeb cameo’s instead…it’s gonna be a campy and extravagant film :smitten:

I don't think I hate/dislike any song on Renaissance at this point.

It really does take a while to get into an album.

I don't even dislike Church Girl.

I used to HATE I'm That Girl but now I love it. :deadbanana2:

I have to say the live versions made me appreciate songs that didn't immediately click with me a lot more (mostly I'm That Girl and Move)

I always loved Move, but I’m That Girl grew on me so much. It’s one of my favorites now. It’s good to see you guys liking it too

The first time I listened to RENAISSANCE I just remember being GAGGED the entire time ALIEN SUPERSTAR played.

BREAK MY SOUL sounded MUCH better in chronological order.

COZY, PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA and SUMMER RENAISSANCE were my trinity though.

CUFF IT was what felt underwhelming and definitely the safest on the album.

COZY and ALIEN SUPERSTAR are still absolute bangers though. I will never get tired of either one.

I still think COZY was lead single material.

Can’t believe she gave the big 3 to Los Angeles. She gave it to LA. She’s so unserious.

The fact she didn't include DIQue during Chicago even though she said we were the best crowd.

The songs that were not instant for me were:

BMS

Cozy

I’m That Girl

Church Girl

these needed to grow on me before I started loving them

thique, pots and auiymwere always my least favorite

Shall we revisit that weird Tuesday - Friday - Tuesday thing

When it's all said and done, LEMONADE is going to be the most underrated studio album in her discography. It has the acclaim, and spawned a massive tour, but it lacks the hits and its streams are proof of that.

It feels by design, and it all kind of makes sense.

In the grand scheme of things it's her album the GP goes back to the least and feels like a record for the fans.

I kinda love the opening dress last night with the flower ***s and the hat :smitten: Do we know who it is?

It was Tamara Ralph

For me the song that most changed my perception of it by being performed live was ENERGY. Previously, I didn't really ever go to listen to it, and maybe I still don't (it feels more like a bridge between two songs) but the live version hits different and I find myself really enjoying it when performed.

yes I need the I'M THAT HAG/APESH*T and MOVE/MOVE YA BODY mashups on streaming for the sake of my wellbeing.

also the RWT version of Naughty Girl has been stuck in my head ever since seeing the show.
