And hasn't her joy been one of the defining factors of this tour?

 

It's not hard to see/realize why songs like Before I Let You Go or BLACK PARADE are the kind of songs she enjoys performing, or that Flaws & All (I think the only song from the B'Day re-release that isn't Beautiful Liar to ever be performed and added to Dubai as well) are ones of which she's very fond and therefore enjoys performing.

The whole debate always.. she is just performing what she really enjoys performing these days. Obvi she was tired from singing Halo and sl, she never liked singing sweet dreams live, tired from baby boy, probably doesnt like singing Irreplaceable as well.. get over it, this tour is about her being 100% happy and shes showcasing that

We all wanted her to promote more this era. And if a tour is the best and/or only promo, isn't it better for GP/casual fans to leave thinking "what was that song she performed?" and go listen to it vs. hear songs they already knew?

this tour is for the fans. y'all are still concerned with promo and the general public but she doesn't care. this era is for the gworls and the show is that 100%. its not about appealing to the widest demographic anymore. she did her greatest hits at homecoming. and put it on netflix for everyone. she's moving on, its "the renaissance" she keeps speaking of.

I think it’s more about trying to understand the concept and what she’s going for. Like at first it was “oh she’s doing the entire album”, then taking Thique and AIUYM kinda threw that off. 
 

So now we’re left wondering why Black Parade and not like Already or Brown Skin Girl, or why Rather Die Young instead of Me Myself and I? Or another one of her most popular ballads? Things like that. 
 

But yeah, you right. Seems like she’s just singing what she wants this tour, rather than calibrating to the audience. Which is not new, considering how hard she pushed RTW during 4, despite “better” songs like End Of Time and LOT being right there. She’ll continue to do what she wants and we will deal. That’s why I’m nodding and pretending like I understand.

That performance is SICKENING.

 

The transition from ITG and intro with the robots, the Renaissance sign she does above her head when she says 'cozy', the falsetto at the end, the cvuntiness she's serving throughout the whole thing... best performance of the show by far in my books. 

The horns in the live version are KILLING me

i dont think Thique/Drunk/All Up are even off the setlist for good, its probably just the easiest section to cut from the show. she will bring it back im sure.

I assumed that she removed those songs because she had to and because it was the best segment to skip (they are perhaps the least integral RENAISSANCE songs) and it'd be far harder to skip individual songs within other segments as they'd have to use new transitions/cues that were not rehearsed and all that.

Please don't quote me putting words into my mouth. My GAWD I forgot how annoying some of y'all are at any lil form of critique. Nowhere have I mentioned a chart, a GP, or anything other than what EYE would like to see as a PAYING FAN. Damn. Y'all be so high strung to rush into defense mode over everything. Like, I relearned the BB dance and everything. Can I just be disappointed for a freaking moment. Day one, y'all complained about everything. EVERYTHING. I thought I was doing good not venting outside the base, but sheesh. Can't vent anywhere without someone getting in their feelings. 

Imagine getting mad at actual FANS for missing certain staples on tour just so you can swing from Bey's *** for NO MONEY. Basically for free. I stopped being a stan a long time ago, so please stop acting like everyone in here is a diehard. We're allowed to have disappointments. When y'all were crying over energy levels, and dresses and outfits and **** ON DAY ONE, I said nothing but "give sis time."

 

And **** it! I miss Baby Boy! To hell if you don't like it. I miss Baby Boy and seeing her body now, wow! I know she would kill it again. Just because there's a concept doesn't mean we have to like 100% of what she does. Please start acting like adults. Some of y'all will make excuses for anything. It's one of the best parts and cutting it kinda ruined the flow of the song. Could she not make the performance 10 seconds longer?  

 

If she came down from that shell for the second part of the song and danced some this would've been a 10/10 performance. 

 

Oh well, miss Blow will have to continue to reign supreme I guess

i literally said "i don't think". if she performed it once it clearly was meant to be in the show. 

I will be brutally honest about one thing, this tour is definitely 3rd in line for me after Homecoming (#1) and FWT (#2) in terms of setlisting and execution.

 

May even be bested by The Beyoncé Experience. But that’s where it ranks in my list based on the first three shows.
