literally it's that simple. she's been performing the same songs for like 12 years straight. if she wants to change it up then go watch the fiftyleven other concerts.

Actually she hasn't performed in 6 years and a lot of the songs suggested haven't been performed even longer than that.

If I could choose songs for the ballad/slow-jam opening, I'd keep DIL as the opener, find space for MM&I and Irreplaceable for the singalong hit factor, and end with Dance For You since that's what she's about to do, eh?

I'm not mad at the songs being there per se, but my issue with diva (and its whole segment tbh run the wrold + formation) is that she clearly cannot dance like she used to at this moment and those performances were heavily dependent on the sharp dance breaks, so they're just not hitting like they originally were. All while she could have saved that energy to elevate some of the Renaissance performances like Cuff It and Virgo's Groove, which desperately needed some dancing.

I get it. Her not dancing is kind of taking away from it.

Not going to lie, I'm over CIL more than any of the other songs but I understand why it's still there. Which is why I don't get why HALO, LISTEN, and others aren't.

That parasocial relationship thing yesterday I was talking about is exactly what I'm referring to whenever "connection" or whatever bs is brought up.  

Damn I guess this is what happens when your discog is legendary cause there are so many songs I would pay for her to add/replace on the setlist. Already, MM&I, Freakum Dress, Check On It, Start Over, Speechless, Bigger, the list goes on and on   And this would never happen but a cute little DC medley would warm my heart and give me life.

 

She also needs to perform Virgo's Groove in it's entirety

 

I'm hoping that the setlist is a little different by the time she gets to the states anyway

I'd like Hold Up on the setlist tbh.

I see what you mean. I've been enjoying Black Parade and RDY, so I don't want to see them cut, but taking out Thique and AUIYM is really painful. I would guess that there are maybe logistical reasons at play.

She needs to stop edging the casual fans with Sweet Dreams (and Freakum Dress), does she not know people get SICK when she does that.

It's a mood killer.

That hold up/countdown mashup during FWT was top tier. It would have worked so well in the move segment.

Many of us will defend her or will try to explain what people have outright said they want explained. So what's the issue in contributing to the conversation with a bit of positivity? We don't get points for defending her, nor does anyone else for having critiques.

Exactly. I could not give a solitary **** about crowd pleasers. Hearing RDY live was a beautiful experience. I will always appreciate it when she tries something new instead of treading old ground.
