Yes it's stable, but not growing. I just want it over 100 million tbh

The way ATRL clings onto "success" as their only meaningful marker of importance/worth of an artist is really funny, but like in an infuriating way and kind of pathetic....

... I mean we kind of lucked out that we stan an artist with significant success under her belt that she can basically coast on her stature and importance to pop and just leave her eras to do whatever they will, but truly the jewel in MY stan crown is the way Beyoncé has put artistry at the highest level of priority at this stage of her career.

Of her generation, and of the ones that directly follow (T*ylor, Rih*nna, G*ga, etc.) she is the first to reach legendhood (and while still creating) and she has sort of set forth a path that most other legends have not...namely the path of creating newly iconic, important and career-defining works even after you've already been defined as a legend and reached that level. Usually, it seems, legends are made past their heyday and so this just wouldn't be the case, they'd be over trying hard and would be just releasing their covers albums and thematic projects every so often as they desire...but Beyoncé really is showing that she's not interested in resting on her artistic laurels like she is with her commercial laurels...she's going to do MORE artistically and THAT is exciting. And that is also why I think a lot of stans have a hard time with her and accuse her of being PR only, or "smoke and mirrors" (lol) because her stats right now aren't THE NUMBER ONE IN THE WORLD ... because that's all they can really nitpick...and it must suck to hate on something people generally agree is pretty amazing.

I went on vacation and came back to see we're having the same exact convos :deadbanana2: this is so crazy

If we can get professional recording of Chloe getting her back blown out, and Bey is okay with that, then I want to see her tatas in HD bouncing all in my face on her tour monitors for the visual interludes

Give me more of this:

I have to choose between the show on July 29th or the 30th. Do you guys think the show on the anniversary of the release will be better or relatively the same?

MCSWT too. I know they gave us that x10 series but I'm sure they have the whole concert filmed

Actually, my guess is that they have the footage of each and every one of her concerts saved. They always film cause it's what they show on the big screens during the concert no? I doubt they just delete everything at the end of the night, they definitely have all of that stored somewhere.

the videos on the big screens are live video feeds. they aren't always recorded every night. typically artists will record opening night footage to send to press.

beyoncé however, is different. she films EVERY night so that she can watch it back and correct anything she sees. she stated this in one of her older documentaries. mic & a light i think. it's what inspired her to edit the IAWT dvd with all the different dates.

she also for a long time had a documentary crew following her always. that's how she was able to make them so quickly and efficiently for each era. i wanna say this stopped after self-titled because of the personal issues she was dealing with (miscarriages, marriage drama, etc). she actually had an opening for an archivist at parkwood to help sort through and store all of the documentary & concert footage.

The Archivé is mentioned in her 2013 GQ cover story:

Quote

Anytime she wants to remind herself of all that work—or almost anything else that’s ever happened in her life—all she has to do is walk down the hall. There, across from the narrow conference room in which you are interviewing her, is another long, narrow room that contains the official Beyoncé archive, a temperature-controlled digital-storage facility that contains virtually every existing photograph of her, starting with the very first frames taken of Destiny’s Child, the ’90s girl group she once fronted; every interview she’s ever done; every video of every show she’s ever performed; every diary entry she’s ever recorded while looking into the unblinking eye of her laptop.

Beyoncé’s inner sanctum also contains thousands of hours of private footage, compiled by a "visual director" Beyoncé employs who has shot practically her every waking moment, up to sixteen hours a day, since 2005. In this footage, Beyoncé wears her hair up, down, with bangs, and without. In full makeup and makeup-free, she can be found shaking her famous ass onstage, lounging in her dressing room, singing Coldplay’s "Yellow" to Jay-Z over an intimate dinner, and rolling over sleepy-eyed in bed. This digital database, modeled loosely on NBC’s library, is a work in progress—the labeling, date-stamping, and cross-referencing has been under way for two years, and it’ll be several months before that process is complete. But already, blinking lights signal that the product that is Beyoncé is safe and sound and ready to be summoned— and monetized—at the push of a button.

And this room—she calls it her "crazy archive"—is a key part of that, she will explain, so, "you know, I can always say, ’I want that interview I did for GQ,’ and we can find it." And indeed, she will be able to find it, because the room in which you are sitting is rigged with a camera and microphone that is capturing not just her every utterance but yours as well. These are the ground rules: Before you get to see Beyoncé, you must first agree to live forever in her archive, too.

what a boss move. she said nothing I say will be misconstrued and taken out of context. not on my watch. and I respect that fully.
