A long time ago I stumbled on a Wikipedia page that was listing the biggest songs of the year, maybe by sales or by radio, I'm not sure. One of them listed Love On Top as the biggest R&B single of the year. Or maybe the biggest song on R&B radio. I can't remember the details, and I can't find it again. Does anyone know what it could have been?

Love On Top spent six consecutive weeks on the top Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

BEYZIL, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand need some tour dates 

Summer renaissance is a 10000/10 pop song and is definitely top ten on Renaissance. Like whoa it just hit me just now

idk, maybe? It was a wikipedia page that listed the biggest songs of the year (3 songs) and Love On Top was one of them, but under the R&B category. It had something to do with radio play.

Maybe it has to do with when Billboard changed their genre charts to include sales and other airplay etc. I remember it being controversial because songs like blurred lines started topping the charts for records amounts of week even though they had very little r&b airplay, for example. Because I also remember love on top holding some sort of record that would have been since wiped clean by songs like blurred lines and old town road. So maybe the wiki page you remember was just updated and LOT is just no longer relevant to it. Idk

I can't remember the Wikipedia page, so I don't even know if it's been updated or not  I spent ages clicking around but it was a waste of time. And I can't remember how I found it in the first place. smh

in the grand scheme of things, Spotify streams do not make a classic or an icon. nobody, and I truly mean NOBODY, including lidl munsters, would say Ava Max's song "Kings & Queens" is more legendary because it has more than double the streams of "Judas" now would they?

 

they're so insecure about their fav & they are mentally stuck in early 2010's when she made headlines all the time and was the it girl. they need to accept the fact that locals don't care for her antics like they used to and move on. she doesn't need to be "bigger" and "more [blank]" than everyone else to be your fav.
