Was listening to Lemonade then got to Formation and wondered, why exactly was it added to the album? Don't get me wrong, it is an amazing song and literally top 5 on the record, but it doesn't really make sense as a Lemonade track...

 

The rest of the album clearly tells a story in order and All Night serves as the perfect closure to it. Formation is so out of place  I mean it it literally serves as the credits song for the film. I don't even view it as an epilogue to the album because it is just so detached in meaning.

 

Then I thought about how there was tea that Formation was originally supposed to premiere at Made in America in September 2015... I wonder if she had intended Formation to be a standalone song but loved it so much that she added it to the overall Lemonade project 

 

 

 

Does anyone know why nobody in the Hive (original or otherwise) can definitively tell if Speak My Mind is a fake album or an official mixtape?

The way I see it

 

Since the album talks about infidelity and the struggles black women specifically go through - after the happy ending that is presented in All Night, Formation works as a victory lap. It's a celebration of its happy ending if you will.

Ok, I know I said yesterday that Renaissance era is over cause tour starts in 2 months... but I was pouting 

 

I'm just afraid cause when the visuals drop, I know it's going to be overwhelming. I mean look at the material

The song is not going anywhere...how long has it been stuck at 400-500k and it seems they will not act. But all in all I am grateful that it passed the 55M mark when just a month ago it was the 2nd least streamed song. I hope it can make it to 100M by the end of this tour.

it will be 100 million by end of June if it continues with these numbers.

That’s 25% of the reason I bought that ticket. I really hope. 
I didn’t have high hopes before but I think with the song being met with love on TikTok, her team might have informed her about it. The fact that it was c-written with Jay is also a good sign.

 

Although AHAP, Move, Thique, AUIYM seem like songs that would be left off the tour list, the attention it has been getting raises my spirit.

I don’t think it’s her foot. She managed to fly out to the Middle East to perform a full concert, not to mention she’s probably in rehearsal rn for RWT. 
 

If she wanted to release the visuals she def could regardless of the condition of her foot (which is just a rumor)
