Two things can be true at one. It’s true that I love her, want to know the setlist immediately, and would watch this concert if it were available to me. Of course! She is Fave! Also true that this is grimy as hell and she ain’t **** for showgirling for Dubai’s pocket change while doing nothing for her fans, in fact actively ignoring them. 1+1=2  

What about this is a "ribbon cutting"? This isn't the launch of a Popeye's this is the premiere performance at the Atlantis Palm's new state-of-the-art performance venue with a star-studded guest-list.

 

I've not said that every item she puts out is going to be a luxury item in itself, but that her personal branding and the choices she makes are with the strategy of luxury branding in mind, and so the offers she accepts that directly relate to her name are going to have certain criteria, and it's not just about the pay check in itself. If it was, and she was indeed available for any opening of an envelope, then where are all the other examples of such things occurring?

They are not ready for this conversation. The TONE of some in here tonight is clear: Beyoncé is black and should know her place. Her stuff must be displayed everywhere free for us to enjoy. How dare she gets so much money to perform and we have no access? It cant happen!

Totally agree with all this. I don't think we're owed a single frame from this concert. I have my issues around the show itself, but it's happening and I'm not gonna stomp my feet over it. 

 

That said... the attempted shutdown of any criticism with accusations of racism within her own fanbase is absurd
