Not single pop girl is the autoplay queue, just alt/dark songs and ITG + Alien Superstar. Nile is essentially ambient RnB music ( SZA "Blind"), which is quite on trend. Might explain its increase

Such a sick joke that we still have to wait for an unforeseen period of time before we even get anything from this avaricious performance. Not surprised to see some longtime fans on this site reach their breaking points either. If it weren't for Cuff Hit this album would be dead in the water alongside her side projects. I've been away from this site for months and not once did I have the urge to log in.

Standing on the Sun was always a very average song. Glad it was never released. 

Standing On The Sun is better than a couple tracks on ST, several tracks on Lemonade, and at least one track on Ren.

oops I didn't see this when I made basically the same comment.

I've said this before so excuse me repeating but I think had she released GW/SOTS in 2013 even IF they were hits, her career could have easily stalled after that without a clear vision of who she was/where she was going... like how J.Lo had a huge smash in 2011 in the dance pop trend but wasn't able to translate it into much lasting pop success outside of being a dependable pop icon/awards show fixture.

 

BUT through waiting for the right content and the right release (ST) she was able to transform into the kind of artist who is not only as good as their last hit. She really took pop to a place of artistry that hadn't quite been done before. I think Gaga was very close in 2010-2011 but it was more of a coded idea of pop-as-art ... or it was sneaking art into pop rather than sneaking pop into art. ARTPOP itself obviously tried it but took that playful coding away and revealed its motives (which imo was less fun to behold and heavier on concept than content). Beyoncé, on the other hand, make artistry the focus of her pop without hindering either, and it took her to a whole new level.

 

AND THIS is why I still trust her decisions to delay or wait for visuals or whatever. I always have faith that the time she takes is for good reason, allowing her to see the bigger picture and act on it. That excites me. It does not frustrate me. And in fact, I encourage her to always take the time she needs, as the results clearly are great.

Yeah. She currently has a lot of the most RANDOMEST songs have their biggest streaming days these past few days. Yonce (Live), Nile, CIL (50SoG), and Halo is back to 500k, IIWAB had it's biggest streaming day in years too.

Streaming discourse is exhausting. I hate that that’s where stans ended up, on this godforsaken shanty of a site anyway. I couldn’t keep up if I tried and wouldn’t even know where to start. It’s like crypto. I don’t hear it I don’t see it it doesn’t exist to me I don’t understand it I won’t respond to it

I was shocked to find out CIL 50 shades version has over 150m. Well deserved!
