I still can’t crack the code on the Act i, Act ii, Act iii as it pertains to the topic of visuals. I get she said she “recorded a 3 part project” but how in the hell?! Why do visuals for 1 act or two acts and not all 3? It’s impossible to shoot 42 videos in a short span.  With the “delay” it would make sense if all three acts came out and the visual was a body of work that melded them together without having to visually represent every song with a full video.

unless Act I is the album. Act ii is the videos, and act iii a documentary film.

I kinda hate her for making this so ambiguous.

she teased B7 and B8 on her website. act i & act ii are albums. that much i can be confident about. act iii is probably the documentary on the entire project (since the third act is usually the "finale")

and there will probably be films for act i and act ii. so the three acts will essentially be a trilogy of films at the end of this era.

if she rolls out act i's film early next year, then pushes act ii in the summer, we'd get the act ii film after the tour.

Don’t add me in there I’m tryna stay positive and enjoy the non promotional ride. :deadbanana2:

So since we know this is gonna be a Lem/BIK situation instead of ST/BDay anthology, what do you guys think the overreaching theme could be for the film?

I remember reading somewhere that the pandemic/isolation could play a part. I can’t wait to see how the music will represent the plot. What do you guys think?

I’m weak! Maybe there was a theme going on that you didn’t know about.

Anyway did you act up and belt out the chorus?  :gaycat5:

I really like the concept of everything happening inside of her head, essentially representing the freedom and joy people wished to experience while being stuck in quarantine, I like the idea of an escapism fantasy land that shifts from song to song.

I also really liked the theory of it being an ode to horror movies I think it would be cool to see her try to take a horror route and make something unsettling/avant garde. Though as we can see Halloween came and went so that’s out of the question:toofunny3:

Yes! I was thinking it woulda been cool if she could’ve blended both of those ideas in a “the real nightmare is being awake” kinda way. But I can see the negative articles and think pieces now if she went that route, I doubt it’ll go that direction ?

I think it’s going to be darker than anticipated. Her face says it all in the teaser (regarding the death stare she gave after the snippet of the upcoming visuals were depicted). She looks as though she’s trying to convey a message that suggests we should prepare for depth despite the “carefree” vibe she entailed. The way the brain is able to turn suffering into a sense of fulfillment. Beyoncé is REALLY good at translating this type of message.

Ok so after almost 4 months, my zodiac sign's groove finally hit HARD.

Why would she do that? :toofunny3: I don't see it happening -  it would require a complete 180 from what she thinks is appropriate at this stage in her career - but I hope you're right.

A girl can dream :rip:

The way we went from visuals in September, visuals during her bday, visuals in October, visuals for Halloween to visuals in summer 2023 nnnnnnnn. We seriously are a doomed fanbase :rip:

This is what I have envisioned from the start. I see her at home in quarantine with the music driving her imagination into a range of different settings as a form of escapism, with it connecting back to real life. That way we get a story with meaning but also the standalone 'music videos'. Best of both worlds.

So she'll release the videos post pandemic? Genius.

Like I said previously Cuff it is slowing down on radio.

No, it isn't. The spins on all formats are healthy.

It's also not the first single, it's a single in the streaming era. It will not perform like Unholy.

The latter song is also doing at least twice as much streams.

CI is doing well.

Diva was moviiiiiiiiing me yesterday I want her to mix it with thique of maybe video phone y’all know how she loves to do a dance break with it

It IS slowing without any visual or promo to assist it. Y’all can take that however you like.

U r right. And soon Xmas songs will take over.

I dont know why some just expect Bey to get a massive hit at 41 without her doing anything.. like make it make sense?

Cher performed Believe to hell and back to make it the grand Song it is today, same for Madpnna and Hung Up and Tina with her Hits at 48+ years old.

I  remember thinking visuals in October was ridiculous and there was no way she'd wait that long :deadbanana2: If only I knew..

Welp, Adele/Kendrick/Drake/Kanye/Billie/Ed and now Rih's comeback turn out to be underwhelming. Thankfully B really came through with quality which is why the album is slaying organically.

ATRL were so confident she will be over after TG only for her to sell organically without pulling cheap tactics. Some were brave enough to predict B7 to sell less than 200K.

Not Rihanna doing more for a Wakanda OST than Bey has done in its entirety for her comeback album lol
