Beyoncé is not one of the suits . She’s an artist.  Just like Prince, I remember his fans making similar complaints about how great music would just fall on deaf ears because of the lack of promotion or concern to mass promote.

I think it’s not out of malice . I think she genuinely doesn’t care if people know her music or not. Maybe she doesn’t want everyone to know her songs. She wants it to just be the fans. She must be tired of singing Crazy in Love or Halo.  But she knows she has to. I think some times artists get tired of making hits . She’s happy with what her legacy is. I do think if another girl was hot on her heels it would drive her to get out there more or do another IASF but there hasn’t been any major pop and R&B female megastars in forever  tbh so she’s chillin

But her music isn’t falling on deaf ears. She still got a #1 album & song. The hype for Renaissance was there. Her name alone can get her all that so why would she feel inclined to do more when she could use that time to be a present mother? Back in the day she had the need to grind to prove herself, but she’s been there done that and now she’s just enjoying the fruits of her past labor.

I would have loved her to do smth like this in the visuals :(

Can someone post the amount of weeks in the top 10 of MPG most recent album? From Evermore to Happier Than Ever.

REN will possibly spend 15 weeks inside the top 10 until Christmas bombs.

Beyoncé: RENAISSANCE - 8 weeks *still charting*

Lady Gaga: Chromatica - 4 weeks

Taylor Swift: Evermore - 11 weeks or Red (Taylor's Version) - 9 weeks

Katy Perry: Smile - 1 week

Adele: 30 - 14 weeks

Billie Eilish: Happier Than Ever - 9 weeks

Olivia Rodrigo: SOUR - 55 weeks

Doja Cat: Planet Her - 41 weeks

the way Doja and Olivia absolutely dominated 2021 :WAP: my girls

I think RENAISSANCE can surpass 15 weeks easily, especially if October does indeed bring a bit of a bump in performance with vinyl shipments, Summer Renaissance film, and of course CUFF IT officially being pushed.

no shade to the other girls but I'm more interested in seeing if she can surpass Lemonade's weeks in the Top 10. she's her own competition, I don't really care how she compares to the 19 year-old breakthrough artist of last year with 10 billion Spotify streams on one album.

Please stop spamming the thread with your other fave. I don't see how that relates to Beyoncé in any way. You have her base where you can post this stuff.

It will be VERY impressive though if she can surpass IASF, 23 weeks. With that being said, her album had shown very impressive longevity no matter what era she was in. Physical era (DIL, 17 weeks iirc); Digital era (IASF, 23 weeks iirc) and streaming (Lemonade, 17 weeks soon to be Renaissance).

Lemonade had always been dragged but who else can have an album charting for 87 weeks with all that sabotage?

Is Church Girl still a single or is it just Cuff It?

We don't have clarity yet as far as CG goes.

It seems CI is being pushed by Columbia, we don't know if CG has been canceled or if it'll be a dual release.

Cant to witness how we'll go from "Sth is coming October 7th", to "I mean it has to be October 14th now that the vinyls have been shipped" to "ok October 21st it is then cause this is just ridiculous" to "**** her and that nonsense".

We have a new single wdym?

I definitely think releasing another album soon after Renaissance is a good idea for a couple of reasons.

Following up Renaissance is going to be very difficult.  The way the album is already a cult classic in the gay and club scene is impressive.  The amount of impact it has had already is very apparent when you see videos of how people react in clubs when songs like 'Alien Superstar' are played.  The expectations from these groups will be pretty high, especially with a long wait, and with Renaissance being somewhat of a concept album, we probably shouldn't expect her to follow it up with another dance album.  Releasing another album or two in rapid succession wouldn't alienate these groups as they still have Renaissance, it's fresh, the demand for another dance album isn't super high, it gives her more freedom.

It'll help with her streaming numbers immensely.  Look at how Taylor's trilogy has really pushed her to the top of streaming.  Renaissance will have people wanting more.  I think ACT II will have an even larger streaming base.  Renaissance has really rekindled Beyonce with the millennials, and has definitely opened her up to Gen Z.  She's current. The virility of the album has been great, and visuals will only push that further.  Much of Gen Z have just recently been introduced to Beyonce with Renaissance, and her visuals will further connect with them as she delivers something very different from other pop stars.  I think Gen Z will be more involved with the follow-up, especially if it's sooner rather than later, they'll be curious.

I'm really excited to see how it all plays out.  Outside of the actual material, it's always interesting to see the way Beyonce manipulates her projects in ways we don't really see, like the surprise drop, or debuting her music with visual stories like Lemonade.  It lets you know that something big is coming, and I really don't think we have any idea as to what.
