Do you guys even like Renaissance? Everyday there’s a new batch of songs that gets skipped and trashed. Am I the only one here that thinks every track is a 10/10

I do. I like some songs more than others, but I don’t think there is a bad song on it.

I love every single song. I see a lot of hive trashing All Up In Your Mind, and I don’t get why. It’s a bop. But what really gets me is the Church Girl slander. It’s madness!

I wish Beyoncé would AT LEAST send Cuff It to radio. Let it build up more momentum while we wait on the visual to hit in the next few weeks.

It’s absolutely genius how she can add a 10 second Change or transition to a song that will take it from a 5 to 10. Like the outro on thique and the fast rapping “that’s that summer that’s that hummer….”

Well they're not 

 

 

AGAP: Completely forgettable writing 

 

AUIYM: Melody sounds dated & has no range, even though her vocal delivery is laced with crack and the quality of production is sick 

 

Church: Repetitive, also the most vocally uninteresting song on the album. She kind of sounds mid here giving dry gospel.

 

SR: All I know is i love the second verse and the chorus, but the first verse is kinda weak aside from "Sexy Mufa..." 

 

Thique: that basic ass trap introduction has me about to skip every time.

 

Honey/Pure: A bit too sparse lyrically from me; could definitely do with a rap on the second verse, riding the beat how Azealia might. Also Honey does almost nothing for me.

 

Still love the album

Weird song to start what is a GP friendly and fun album overall. It serves its purpose for me and it’s not a skip, but it’s a very polarising song and I don’t think it is truly representative of the album as a whole. 

 

 

 Church Girl is obnoxious and so beneath her, ITG is experimental (which I appreciate) but not consistent with the album as a whole, and Energy serves TG which I didn’t really like for the most part. 

 

Move also serves TG but the switch up half way through saves it for me and it is quite possibly in my top 3 as a result. 
 

I absolutely adore ITG as an opener. Bey's experimental tracks rarely get the spotlight and the way ITG sets you up for a rollercoaster even if its a bit dark/more experimental than the rest of the album. I think its appreciated too because its streams are proportionally very high compared to her other recent openers like PYCM/Bigger. Soccer mums do not drive streamimg numbers (see Adele). So i actually think it was important to open with something bold that makes the people think "Damn, this is Beyonce?". Especially gen z+ straight men lol 

 

Watching all of the reaction videos ITG really does have everyone gasping and excited for what they rest of the album sounds like.

Call me crazy but break my soul isn't done either, I can feel it in my bones... it will be Beyonces biggest lead since SL when all is said and done & she's toured the album 

 

Virgos Superstar will become viral next September 

 

Heated will never be a single but will be unofficially picked up by urban radio and randomly be smashing whilst act II is out
