I actually like the idea of a horror movie theme. ( I LOVE Horror) however with Beyonce's message about being happy and light I have a hard time seeing that is the direction they will go for the visual.

Yeah I’m a horror stan but it would be the most nonsensical thing she’s ever done to turn an album all about fun and joy into an homage to horror history :rip:

Right, I can't imagine seeing Virgos Groove and Plastic off the sofa as horror! :cupid:

Plastic Off The Sofa (Dexter Edition)

The way I’m that Girl, Church Girl, and Energy try their best to ruin Renaissance, but the quality displayed on the rest of the album outweighs and diminishes their mediocrity.

They TRIED :gaycat5:

Also, Alien Superstar used to be my fave song but it’s now not even in my top 5 because I overplayed it.

I’m now Pure/Honey hive :jonny:

It’s too early for Act 2. REN will demolish it because the GP is far from over this album. It’ll be like The Weeknd album that came out when Blinding Lights was refusing to die. It’s a great record but it came and went. No one even talks about it :cm:

Energy doesn’t deserve the slander but the rest is the gospel truth.:ihype:

Three of my very favorites. Then again 14 songs are favorites of mine.

I think this is exactly why I would love if this turned out to be true, it’s so nonsensical and unexpected:ahh:

I'm That Girl is essential pls

Church Girl is a bop and makes me laugh but I can't remember the last time I listened to it on its own

Energy was an instant delete on release day, I knew I was never listening to that **** again

Spoiler

I’m That Girl was the only song I allowed myself to listen to when the album leaked so I have a special attachment to it. I knew the album was going to be amazing, it was torture having to wait for the rest of the tracks.

I don't miss it. I'm fine with the transition from Cuff It to BMS. The TRUE hole-dilating transition of the album is Pure/Honey -> SR but Urban Hive won't admit it.

Mess at the horrible taste displayed here:mazen:

The only close to filler on the album is All up in your mind.

Hmm not when POTS -> Virgo’s Groove is the earth-shattering, spine-chilling, blood-rushing, dopamine-releasing transition on the album.

Maybe someone should start a RENAISSANCE transitions ranking.

It had to be said

I just know all the soccer moms who loved BMS listened to the first 30 seconds of ITG and immediately turned that album off and never listened to it again.

Weird song to start what is a GP friendly and fun album overall. It serves its purpose for me and it’s not a skip, but it’s a very polarising song and I don’t think it is truly representative of the album as a whole.

:skull: Church Girl is obnoxious and so beneath her, ITG is experimental (which I appreciate) but not consistent with the album as a whole, and Energy serves TG which I didn’t really like for the most part.

Move also serves TG but the switch up half way through saves it for me and it is quite possibly in my top 3 as a result.

Also, Thique used to be in my bottom 3 but it is now one of my most played. What an absolute banger and it simply doesn’t get enough love for me.

I’m That Girl (Orphan)

COZY (Texas Chainsaw Massacre)

Alien Superstar (Alien)

Cuff It (Saw)

Energy (Dawn of the Dead)

Break My Soul (The Conjuring)

Church Girl (The Exorcist)

Plastic Off The Sofa (Fatal Attraction)

Virgo’s Groove (The Shining)

Move (Get Out)

Heated (Firestarter)

THIQUE (Jennifer’s Body)

All Up In Your Mind (A Nightmare on Elm Street)

America Has A Problem (American Psycho)

Pure/Honey (Silence of the Lambs)

Summer Renaissance (Scream)

Ngl I moved…

i feel like AUIYM seems basic b/c it's surrounded by songs that all have musical changes & other things happening. whereas AUIYM is just kinda stagnant for the whole song. even "Energy" switches it up.

i feel like it would've stood out more on ST or IASF album...but not with the other Ren songs
